Sounds like Sun City bluehairs are taking their ideas to Canada.

That little town alone is probably responsible for at least half if Arizona's stupidity

That guy sounds like a real idiot. If those were his takeaways, he wasn't paying any attention, he just decided what his conclusions were going to be before he started or something.

I think that he came away from this experience with the exact perspective he was expecting to come away with. All he saw were the exaggerated conservativish comments that he was expecting to see and his parody of the comments gives him and his agenda away.

Online comments may sometimes show the worst of people. But occasionally it provides a forum that brings out the very best in people. Where else can a woman turn when they're feeling ugly and get their self-image restored? Where else can two people spend hours, if not days, discussing religion or politics or gender relations? In real life people only care about their immediate surroundings, but online people can be brought to tears by the story of a boy saving up money to buy an hour of his father's time.

This is the difference between libs and conservatives. Liberals only see the world according to their own preconceived notions of it. They denigrate people they disagree with and lampoon the culture that provides them with the right to do so. It's sad, but expected.

IMO the online new feedback sections are where the paranoid, bigoted, crazies post. A political debate on 4chan has far more depth and insight than the comments fields of the average news site. Local papers in Norway, Haaretz, Al Jazeera, various US news sites ... the same low-grade crap everywhere.

...and the posters all seem to be very supportive of teabagger-like parties (whether to the left or right) ...

What kind of pathetic loser wastes his time commenting on meaningless internet discussion boards anyways?

Finally an opinion article that is relatively funny and has a point.

I think the last part of every new or opinion article on the internet should have this:

"VVVV---And this is where all of the crazy people on the internet discuss all of their stupid opinions and "facts"----VVVV"
