SockMonkeyHolocaust: Tailspin's universe always used to throw me for a loop. It had that PG-13 edge that anime had in the late 80s/early 90s.
Ishkur: Burr: Add Chip and Dale Rescue Rangers and Gargoyles to this list and you basically nailed my adolescent TV viewingFun fact: Gadget from Chip and Dale was the first time I was aware of Rule 34.

bborchar: I was the exact audience for these shows, and watched them religiously everyday after school. It was nice to no longer have to wake up at 6 am on Saturday mornings to watch cartoons. Tailspin and Darkwing Duck were my favorites, until Batman came out later. The stories were darker and more dangerous, which I loved. I think Tailspin and Ducktales stand the test of time the best, though...we just got the Ducktales movie on DVD, and my 4 year old loves it. She now plays with my husband's Scrooge McDuck toy, which was his favorite when he was her age. I'll probably show her Tailspin, too.
