I'd say "no" unless the canister is your stomach.

The Mexican working the vacuum is making me fat.  She brings those corn husk tamales and I can just sit there on squeeze them into my mouth and I don't have to chew or unwrap or anything.  And she's like 4'8" with a 44" waist so I feel really good by comparison.

That would be an example of Betteridge's law of headlines.

I should mention that my vacuum cleaner is making me fat, but that's because it's a Roomba and I've programmed it to go down the street and steal beer from the back room of the liquor store.

It depends on where I attach the nozzle....

And I thought I was cool for attaching an iPod Touch to my Roomba.

What if the headline is, "When a headline is a question, is the answer always 'no'?"

I spent almost an hour vacuuming the other day, so I'll say no.

grocery stores in the 60's were often 1/4 the size of today's stores. there was no where near the amount of pre-packaged processed ready to eat prepared, canned, boxed and frozen foods. people drink carbonated beverages around the clock these days. the only time i saw soda in our house in the 60's was a case of assorted large deposit bottles called 'mixers' for boozy adult drinks during rare get togethers. there wasn't a million fast food restaurants coast to coast. there wasn't a million (?) convenience chain stores with a plethora of white trash foods across the country either. you put a product on the shelf and people are going to consume it in the land of plenty.
