God, reporters are so farking stupid. Good for her for dealing with it so well.

2013-02-25 08:49:37 AM
Oh snap.

Typical brain-dead media whores out there, everywhere.

2013-02-25 08:50:56 AM
That was good. Nice to see some light heartedness when reporters are asking stupid questions.

Jennifer,

I went to one of the all guy schools here in your hometown, you know what I mean.....call me!

2013-02-25 08:58:31 AM
One of the few actresses that is actually more attractive when she speaks.

2013-02-25 08:59:37 AM
Those guys went to the sports sideline reporter school for questions.

Well played.

Girion47: Jennifer,

I went to one of the all guy schools here in your hometown, you know what I mean.....call me!

So...you want to go shopping with her?

/Tom Cruise went to St. X. Look how he turned out.

2013-02-25 09:11:05 AM
I need her.

Jennifer Lawrence, Aboleth from Aboleth News. You've mentioned about taking a shower this morning, and I was wondering if you ever 1. sang in the shower, 2. brushed your teeth while you're taking a shower, 3. worn lingerie while showering, and 4. take a shiat in the shower and then heeled it down the drain.

2013-02-25 09:16:18 AM
I'll show her what peaking too soon is all about.

You're forgetting about Trinity and DeSales.

But you definitely called the one I went to, must be the ability to spell that gave it away.

And for the record, Tom Cruise was kicked out of St. X.

I thought her responses were great and she handled the situation quite well.

I realized that Jennifer Lawrence is the mirror universe version of Kristen Stewart.

I know, right?  She was only given the best actress Oscar on one of the most watched television shows on the planet last night, how could a cool guy like you be expected to know who she is.

Yea, it isn't like she was nominated for best actress in 2010, was in X-men first class in 2011 and starred in Hunger Games in 2012. She is just some obscure actress.

If you don't know who Jennifer Lawrence is at this point you don't care about movies.

Maybe he cares so much about movies he hasn't watched anything recent to demonstrate to the man that they can't ruin his film memories and get away with it.

Truth be told I'm usually loathe to tell people where I went.  There's a stereotype associated with the students of that school I'd rather avoid.

Same for my school.  Though our stereotype is much, much, much less complimentary.

I went to a public school, so that meant we always lost football games to Trinity and St. X (never played DeSales).
Also, our only movie star alumnus was Ned Beatty.

I wanted to go to Manual MST, which would have been some awesome football beat downs, but alas, certain family members weren't comfortable with relative shade of peoples' skin there.  Hooray racism.

I have never in my llife had any interest in a post-Oscar interview. THAT, on the other hand, was awesome. It wasn't even just the stupid questions, she was 'on' from the second she stepped in front of the mic, with the "I hope this isn't an auction, because this is worth more that that." line. Funny thing is; she was on SNL a few weeks back and I thought she sucked. Good to see her doing so well here.

I dated a girl from there, she was top of her class and still a complete dumbass.

Also a clingy, controlling pedophilic biatch.

SNL is a vortex that actually sucks the funny out of funny people. If they'd just told Jennifer to stand on the stage and talk about random stuff for three minutes, it would've been a hundred times funnier than the horrible material they gave her.

No, nothing like that, I just know she was hooking up with a 16 yr old when she was 22....that she met playing Halo 2.

I disagree, I've seen some very funny hosts, and some very flat hosts. Usually you can tell by how many skits they're in, the ones who fall flat get a skit and a half, and the funny ones are on throughout the show. That particular episode was no good at all. Besides, she did fine with the horrible material the reporters gave her. Of course that shot she claimed to have had may have ultimately been the needed catalyst.

She answered the one serious, thoughtful question in a serious and thoughtful way.  Jennifer Lawrence will be having none of your shiat today, entertainment reporters.

That German reporter flew 8,000 miles to ask not only one stupid f*cking question, but one that had just been asked.  It is gag-reel video, do we need text to go with it?

The question about "peaking too soon" is an interesting one but not one bound to get much of an answer.  Hers was funny and honest.  A better question would have been "At 22, holding your best actress Oscar from your second nomination, a bona-fide star, what is your next goal?  Just keep killing it like Shirley Bassey sings for the next half century or is there another mountain you'd also like to climb?"

For the record, Dame Shirley is celebrating 60 years in showbiz and still sounded like a hurricane filled with molten chocolate to me.

That felt like the most scripted part. It seemed pretty obvious she's been saying similar lines for the past few months as she's been doing publicity for Silver Linings Playbook and for her nomination.
