cmunic8r99: #30 is incorrect. Kuwait uses the same power plug as England.

Yeah but how long does the cord have to be?

bingethinker: The Irresponsible Captain: DrPainMD: 5. This is a map of every country England has ever invaded:

Exhibit A for why we should have fought against England in WW1, and WW2, if necessary.

One of the important factors leading up to the every war America has ever been involved in. For example: why is Iraq so messed up? England set its borders when it left in order to make it easy for them to control the area later.

Bonus: China. See the Opium wars.

//Two centuries of cleaning up England's mess.

I wonder who will clean up the messes the U.S. has left.

I've suggested number 8 in order to rebalance the power of the house and senate on a population represented basis. It was warmly greeted until I suggested merging New Hampshire and Vermont, just off the cuff. Then a person who had perked up at my idea turned icy cold. As I now understand it, New Hampshire and Vermont people are already on the verge of armed conflict.

I always like how the south calls everything coke.

"And what kind of drink would you like?"
"Gimme a coke."
"What kind?"
"Sprite."

WorldCitizen: theorellior: I wonder what inspired the Inverted Water & Land cartographer to use that oddly-splayed projection instead of an equirectangular projection?

Well, that and the mountains on the "land" don't seem to actually follow the mountain ranges of the mid-ocean ridges.

The fact that three different people jumped on this is one of the reasons I keep coming back to Fark.

Please, tell us more about how much better a place the world would be if we had allied with Germany in 1939.

James F. Campbell: Map #6 "This map shows the population density in the United States by decade" is biased in favor of European immigrants. There were Native Americans living in the United States, too, you know.

They died awful quick, for some reason or other, though.

When you've got a lot of confessions to make, you're gonna need a lot of churches.

Of course, you wouldn't need to make any confessions at all if the church didn't guilt trip you into thinking you need to make them, but that's a whole 'nother issue.

You're just still mad about the war of 1812.  Nearly everyone else got over that, you know. WAY before WWI.

Think Weekend Libertarians in Barn Jackets vs Sanctimonious Hippy Dippies and you've got the basic dichotomy.
