Rwa2play: cman: fark FireFox

Firefox once was a good browser. Now I dont even recommend it for those technologically illiterate folk.

Pale moon FTW.

Been using Pale Moon for about 6 months now and I absolutely love it.

My computer has been Firefox-free for six wonderful months. Thanks Chrome!

FF is a buggy memory hog.

Who the hell cares about memory? I have 32 GB. It cost like, $5.

Rwa2play: fisker: Oh yeah...

Internet Explorer 10 is a performance beast. Too bad because most of you guys hate Windows 8.

That's because Windows 8 sucks monkey balls; the more I've toyed with it, the more I hate it with the intensity of a thousand burning suns.

Oh and IE 10's bad if you don't want the full screen treatment on your desktop.

So I'm the one who is doing something wrong? Got it.

Look, if you are having computer problems you should probably take it in and get it looked at.

The fact that I have windows 8 and find it the fastest and most stable OS I have ever used is not a flaw. It does not suck.

Jesus Christ.

I'm using this operating system that does hundreds of more things than Windows 7 even CAN do and I'm being told that it sucks. I don't understand what the fark is going on here but I think people are trying to say that it sucks because it has to suck because every other OS from MIcrosoft has sucked so this one must suck or something. They can't handle the fact that it actually doesn't and that doesn't matter.

I can't figure it out. People are a motherfarking mystery to me. This  feels like the whole Twilight phenomenon but backwards.

Or, you could not be a farktard launch IE 10 from the desktop, where it operates the way it always has. Want links from apps to open in the desktop version? Set it as default.

degenerate-afro: GoldSpider: cmunic8r99: Popcorn Johnny: Maybe they should stay focused on making a good mobile browser first.

I'd be happy if they (still) made a decent desktop browser.

On that note, any recommendations?  Firefox is a memory hog, IE is still practically malware itself, Chrome most assuredly tracks data...

Chrome uses more memory than Firefox.  Perhaps you should try adding all those numbers together sometime.

Currently Chrome with 3 tabs open (one of those is TwitchTV):
86M
69M
85M
100M
34M
50M
74M

Firefox with 15 tabs open (one of those is Youtube and the other is Google docs):
338M

If you want to save memory use Opera.

Except Opera are moving to WebKit so that may be moot in the future.

Although Chrome it's more about sandboxing hence its memory usage (although the work Robert N.M. Watson is doing on capabilities-based security AKA Capsicum is pretty awesome).
I personally tend to use Midori or Rekonq on *NIX and still use FF on Windows mainly for its massive array of debugging tools. I find the dev tools in Chrome unintuitive (but still use them as needed)
