the best part is it isn't heavy accumulations. It's usually just multi-hour dustings.

yeah, it's been a pretty crappy year for snow.  no good three or four foot storms at all.

I think we've had a couple legitimate snow days... but I don't think we ever got more that 10inches in a 24 hour period.

The temperatures seem warm too. Is it normal to have the temperatures in the high 30's in February?

Not uncommon.  Alaska sucks up a lot of warming currents off the Pacific Ocean.  Occasionally it'll hit 50 in the middle of January if a chinook wind shows up.

We go through freeze and thaw cycles, but yeah, we spend a lot of time in the mid-30s.  Depends on the ocean currents and what they bring in.  No part of Juneau is more than about 4 miles inland.  Downtown is ocean, about four blocks, then mountain.

Kenny B: How, how, how

I was on a cruise, and I was walking past the piano bar. The piano player stopped what he was playing and broke into a couple bars of LaGrange. I looked at him, the whole room looked at me, he stopped playing and for a moment there was an eery silence. Then I sang, "How how how".

BTW, soosh, nice job. Longtime fan of freeform radio (WFMU, woot!), and used to do a show on a shiatty carrier current station at my college back in the '80s.

Sorry for indulging the troll, but shiat man, really? You don't have to be a dick about it; just don't listen. Jeez.

This may be a dumb question, but are these shows available as podcasts from anywhere?  I'm going to spending the next six months in a time zone that will making listening live basically impossible, and that is going to suck.

blottoman: Chicago jam band Mr Blotto - Buller? Buller? Buller?

Actually, the funny thing is, I'm not generally a fan of jam bands. I used that as an example because it's something I would've said 20 years ago in college. Yeah, I was Happy Hours 20 years ago. I'm much more diplomatic in my old age. So I'm really not indulging the troll as much as I'm drunk yelling at the 22-year-old version of myself for being such an asshole.

Mr. Blotto, huh? I'll give 'em a listen.

Cool - thanks!  Track lists and all!

Ever think about selling your shows to an airline for the in-flight entertainment?  Seems like they would be a great way to kill a few hours in the air.

eh, I'd run into all kinds of licensing issues with something like that.  And probably offend a hell of a lot of people.
