Satan's Chocolate Starfish: Yeah, a good pair of gaiters are on my shopping list, too.

dude I was hiking with today was wearing a $20 pair he bought at an auto parts store in Anchorage... he's been wearing them all winter and says they are more than adequate. I'm kind of the same way with my gear. Some stuff I splurge on (like my pack), but other stuff I'm cool picking up at the Auto & Marine Supply store.

NakedReporta: I'm in the mood for some "Sky Pilot" by Eric Burdon & The Animals. The long version. The one long enough for you to step out of the studio and smoke out. Make that happen.

Nice call...

Don't have it, and honestly, I kind of feel about Joe Walsh the same way the Big Lebowski does about the Eagles.

I've got a Gear For Adventure shop about a quarter mile from my house, so I tend to get my stuff there. I can pick up a nice pair of the high storm gaiters for about $30. They're pretty good about taking care of me. Like you said, I spend a lot on my packs and boots, so they don't take me on the other stuff. I just picked up a pair of Marmot's heavyweight snow pants from them and I think they were $62. I can live with those prices.

soosh: Twitch Boy: I'm here.

Can I get a Winamp link?  Google Chrome is being a dildo.

give me a minute and I'll have one.

Happy Hours: How about NO?

If I want to listen to 2 or so hours of music, I have a fairly decent collection myself.

You might not like what I listen to, but I do.

That's awesome.  You should get a radio show.

Go buy your own music.
