(Daily Mail)   Remember the homeless man who returned the ring he was given in error? He has over $100k in donations yet he doesn't think he deserves it. "What has the world come to when a person who returns something that doesn't belong to him & all this happens?'   (dailymail.co.uk) divider line 7

TheLopper: I get a spring in my step when I see someone actually put their shopping cart back in the cart caddy.

This is the saddest thing I've read in a while. Because I completely agree.

MurphyMurphy: I agree with the homeless guy.

I mean, everyone means well, but wtf?

As the lady says, she feels him returning the ring was a miracle.
Welcome to our brave new world, where a person acting like a decent human being is a farking miracle.

/hope the dude gets some honest help in managing that cash

i would have given the ring to a hooker
and asked her to marry me
... and this would be different from your basic 'man proposes to woman then she takes everything' scenario in what way?....

CokeBear: I think I know why he's poor & homeless.

Greedy & selfish people, who would have kept or sold the ring, and prefer to take & keep any money that comes their way, tend to get ahead in this world.

There's no mystery here. Totally selfless people who are generous and don't want to keep anything for themselves, will eventually end up with nothing, and then homeless.

Is it any surprise that someone who doesn't want anything ends up with what they want?

Nature is full of selfishness. It shouldn't really come as a surprise that selfishness is part of our make-up.

This story is complete bs...

When I got divorced, the ex took my testicles, self-confidence, 2/3rds of everything I owned and the kids - all due to her cheating on me...None of that 'belonged' to her but she still got it. This guy should tuck his junk, slap on a wig and some cheap makeup and then he'll 'deserved' everything he has.

See how it works?

He's homeless because he doesnt want to wirk.  All he has to do is keep finding rings and returning them and he'll be just fine.
