I might be a C&H purist.

Those pictures just don't seem right.

Just like those decals of Calvin pissing on various things.
Or the various videos that have Calvin speaking.

Bah. As a kid that was medicated for ADD that is not how the pills work at all. My imagination still went wild with them. I just could focus a little bit better.

CSB time: while doing my M.Sc. degree in Cleveland, it turned out Watterson lived all of three streets over from my apartment.  A friend of mine actually DID live on his street, so one snowy night while we were drunk at 2am we made "snow art" on his front lawn where we knew he'd see it.

Never did see the man himself though.

C & Hs is gone.  It's over.  Time to move on and bring closure to that chapter of your life.  Don't let the past hold you back.  Open a new door.  Read Mother Goose and Grimm.  Bigger and better opportunities await there.  You'll thank me later for it.

Anyone know where the full-size versions of these are housed?
I can't seem to find them, but then again I'm old and this whole interwebs thing is intimidating.

Your making a judgement call which is just plain silly. Grimm, and Hans Christian Andersen - my favorite, are great yes. But C&H are 'gone' and 'over' just as much as those writers are. I mean, there's no logic to your statement dude.

/A book is good in what it means to you and how it impacted you, not what anyone else says or writes about it.

I'd trade quite a few CSB's to have that one.

CSB: In college we did an ad campaign for Calvin for class president. We put up posters with "Calvin for President he ..." followed by something that he wasn't. The image was a panel from the strip showing what he really was. e.g. "Calvin for President. He likes women." with a panel of Calvin ranting about how stupid girls are.

Good times.

/ We also did a campaign for Bill the Cat.
// Bloom County had enough characters we had a full set of officers. Opus for VP, Rosebud for Secretary, etc.

2013-02-25 03:54:01 PM
Here we go. We ran the third panel as the image.assets.amuniversal.com

Copywrite claim caused the hi-res images to be taken down before I could get them for my wallpaper =(

Did anyone save them, and if so would you be so kind as to email them to me?  I'd be very appreciative.

EIP.
