I think all queens love naked men (not that there is anything wrong with that).

Sounds like the Queen's husband, Prince Philip, isn't "making the grade" anymore.
2001-11-27 09:11:46 AM
oh, jolly good! I suppose once you get to be the Queen's age, you take it any way you can get it... :-)

Well that naughty queen, aint she like a hundred and something?

Jeez, what's the big deal? It was probably the first time the old girl had seen a wiennee in years. More than likely did her good!

"Sir Elton John...also topped the bill."

I'm sure the bugger bottomed it as well.

The queen must have hoisted a few free brewskies at that Covent Garden pub first. You go, girl!
2001-11-27 09:58:13 AM
They've had queens in the audience for years.

It's a handbag!! With a brick in it! Oh no! Crazy dog!

I think the Queen should be burnt, along with her entire family.

Not for going to see strippers or anything, just 'cos they're a bunch of blood-sucking parasitic wankers with no more right to walk the earth than a politician.

better than seeing the queen strip....

just my opinion, though

In defense of the Queen: Britons seem to love her, and they ADORE the Queen 'Mum. That adoration is borne of respect that is left over from their experiences during the Blitz. What was the Blitz? German bombers staging nightly raids over London and other British cities. Hitler's attempt to soften up the Brits for an invasion. How bad was it? Imagine what it would be like if attacks like the the WTC attack happened to NYC, every week for about two years. Then you have an idea what the Blitz was like.

(This is not to minimize the 9-11 attacks. I'm merely making the comparison as a way of giving us all a way to gauge the severity of the Blitz.) It was bad, people.

And the British Royal Family, stayed in London during all that. It made Brits feel that they were all in it together, during a really terrible time. And it was British defiance in the face of German air raids that stemmed the Nazi tide.

They're a British institution. We Americans really have no say in the matter, and we should keep our stupid opinions on the British Royal Family to ourselves.

P.S. My mother's a Brit, and she was in Britain during the Blitz, so that was for her.

Most brits under 40 (that includes me) are basically embarrased by the royals and are waiting for the Queen to cop it so we can end the process. Their only real use is for pulling in tourists and meeting other royals (which, to be fair, has earned us billions through the Saudis)

I think the people who still believe in the Royal Family in that way are the sort of people who nod and say "good point" at any point during a Dubya speech, Boojieboy.

For the rest of us with more than half a brain, they're a very expensive pain in the arse.

'In defense of the Queen: Britons seem to love her, and they ADORE the Queen 'Mum. '

Actually, no. You're confusing us with Americans, Australians, South Africans, and people born before about 1950.

Americans like the Queen because they think she's a television personality.

Goatman, I thought I had read somewhere that the Royal Family paid for itself. Could be wrong. But if they pay for themselves, then what's the harm?

Hey, lay off the Queen.
