"YEAAAHH THEY CRASHED! WOOOHOO POUR ME ANOTHER BEER!"

"OH GOD THAT SAME CRASH ACTUALLY CAUSED ME PAIN?"

I really can't find the sympathy.

John McCain should immediately convene a senate hearing into this senseless NASCAR incident and what measures could've been done to prevent this tragedy!

That's what it's like watching a race in person (other than the horrific crash)?  Looks boring as hell.

Pretty much.  I've been to one or two.  Mind-numbing boredom for a while then ear-splitting noise for a couple of seconds.  Booze helps with both.

No one standing there will ever cheer a NASCAR crash again

Impressive how the cameraman was right next to the action, while rolling video with a camera pointed in precisely the right direction when cars started spinning out, yet managed to miss it completely.

Yeah they will.  They are NASCAR fans and rednecks.  I met a redneck whose car caught fire while he was driving and thought it was still a good car.  He was a coworker, back when I delivered pizza, and his exact statement was "What're you talkin about, its a Mustang, I jus need to change the plug wires."  I told him it will last no longer than two weeks, it died five days later.

Couple things:

Kudos for this person knowing how to shoot video... landscape orientation and keeping the device steady (even when debris is flying at them!)

Also, is it just me or is it kind of weird to see someone wearing an Air Jordan ballcap at a race event?

Good to see FARK is already well represented by the jaded asshats.

Reports from other sites/people that were there say that a person was hit by the tire, and this video thankfully doesn't show the condition of the person, as they were one of the two in critical condition, and likely the one who underwent immediate surgery. They guy who took off his shirt, if its the same injury described elsewhere, was basically trying to hold the person's head together.

Yes, while NASCAR is kind of dumb and pointless (flame on!) I would like to think we could hold back the snark and asshattery a little bit when someone is seriously injured like this.

Are you okay? You look tired.

Meh, same rehashed crap vid.

I wanna see the person who ate that tire, EAT THAT TIRE.

How is it that 90% of the hillbillies who attend this non-event didn't have their phones out, so that when something finally happened that any non-Southerners might care about, there's footage of it? Didn't they know an actual WOMAN was racing??!!

If you're not hanging out with the jet set at the Monaco Grand Prix or something, it seems kind of a waste.

Yeah, I was actually kinda impressed that people were going out of their way to help and treat the injured, while countless others were doing their best to attract the attention of the medics.  I know that such things should be expected, but I guess I'm jaded enough now that I personally wouldn't expect such decency from such a large group, red-necks or not.

Hats off to them.

You're setting a low bar for hat removal.  Would you have expected them to keep cheering or walk away in your jadedness?

No, no, you don't understand. We're better than them, see, because we read fark and they're just rednecks so it's totally cool to not give a shiat. Wait, are you one of them?

One of the few events I've ever been to where you could leave things sitting in your seat and come back later and they'd still be there. Unlike the asshole/s in Gainsville who stole my seat cusion after I forgot it. That'll teach me to go to my car to smoke a doobie huh? Next time I'll just smoke it in the stands like everyone else.

Well then it is a good thing that he had sweater on under that T-shirt to keep him from exposing himself.

Oh yeah, Welcome to Fark.
