She's just as educated as Rand Paul and twice as smart.  McConnel has sharp elbows though.

She a democrat Sarah Palin without the legislative experience.

She has been photographed in a T-shirt that said, "This is what a feminist looks like." She uses the word "patriarchy" a lot, which even in last year's feminist frenzy at the Democratic National Convention hasn't been heard on the public stage much lately.

What's clear is that the people attacking her will be defining themselves along with Judd. The optics of a bunch of good old boys ganging up on a local girl done good, one who loves University of Kentucky basketball and who is, to borrow Paul's term, quite "articulate," will have national reverberations.

So to sum up, if and when she runs even if she loses to Turtleboy the damage she will do to the GOP national brand will be considerable.

Win/win.

You're not sarcastic either.  Ashley Judd's vocabulary alone (and her correct usage of it) puts her miles beyond what Palin is capable of.

EvilEgg: She a democrat Sarah Palin without the legislative experience.

Palin was the mayor of a podunk, meth-addled Alaskan village before she was half governor.

Her legislative experience largely involved avoiding legislative experience by all accounts.

Ashley Judd, otoh, is an well educated, articulate, intelligent, personable, passionate long time advocate of a real liberal agenda who doesn't have a word salad shooter in place of a mouth.

Your comparison is invalid.

"Ashley Judd is a famous actress, she's an attractive woman, and presents herself well, and from what I understand is articulate," (Rand) Paul told CNN on Feb. 10. "But the thing is, she doesn't really represent Kentucky."

So, Kentucky needs representation by someone unpopular, unattractive, presents themselves poorly, and is inarticulate? Then they have the right people in the Senate.

And Rand Paul was a shiatty ophthalmologist who had to start his own certification body to get certified.

Yep. Kentucky is a long shot for the Democrats at the best of times. If they can field a candidate that gets the GOP leadership to bring their contempt for women to the center of the stage then it's not a complete loss.

If she makes the Democratic primary, and all indications are that she will, she'll most likely get at least 40% of the vote against McConnell.

So ... you must have an interesting definition of "snowball's chance in Hell"

Anyone who is a member of PETA should never be elected. If she renounces her involvement with a bullshiat organization, she could be one of the best representatives that the US has.

If one night I got really hammered (ok, more hammered than usual) and I ran out of food and all I had was my trusty dictionary and I ripped the pages apart and ate it and got knowledge poisoning and just vomited up random pages and then miraculously taught myself to read by reading said literal word vomit I'd have a bigger vocabulary by partial osmosis than Sarah Palin does doncha know?

Sarah Palin doesn't have any legislative experience either.  Mayors and governors are part of the Executive branch, not the Legislative branch of government.  Many Senators rise through the local ranks and then run for federal office.  Many others are rich people who've never served anywhere and run for Senate because they can afford to and people know their name.

Its America--theoretically anyone's got a chance and if she wants to run she should. Given that Turd Blossom's recent electoral efforts have been counterproductive, any attack by him could prove ultimately advantageous to her campaign.

There are very few "Conservative" women who actually stick to real Republican values (and not the garbage that the "New" Republicon party of the last 8-10 years has been shoveling) and do so while not coming across as insane, vapid, and/or propped up by someone because of their good looks. I honestly can't think of any on the national stage right now. In order to tow the party line and appease the hardliners, Republican women have to subscribe to the Biblical belief that women should be subservient to men.

Because politicians with a membership in an organization that has done/said truly stupid things always comes back to haunt them.
