No, Subby got it right.

Just came in to say this thread will go full plaid, and no rational discussion should be attempted.

2013-02-23 06:23:03 PM
Well.. Good for him, I guess.

Can he go away now?

2013-02-23 06:35:14 PM
He just announced he has a bunch of unsecured guns in his home. I'll send the boys around when he's out ass-hatting around and pick them up.

"Guns are in my house. High capacity, loaded, and not locked in a safe."

I'd say the tag is right.

Maybe he's recruiting for the Small Penis Club.

I don't know what the worst part of the '08 campaign was; this dildo or Sarah Palin.

2013-02-23 07:07:19 PM
If I wanted to see that much round, bare skin on someone tangentially related to the 2008 campaign I'd at least hold out for a Meghan McCain pic.

If he was truly concerned about his safety wouldn't he only have one gun, and take it to the bathroom with him.
Obscure?

Gun nuts, think about who your spokespeople are: This guy, Wayne LaPierre and Ted Nugent.

And you wonder why the rest of America thinks you have a problem.

It's wrong that I want the winner go on a shooting spree with this weapon, I know that,  Maybe the guy could shoot up a gun show or something.

This is a guy who ran for congress just so he could pay himself out of the funds raised. There is no gun. It's like when Screech needed to save his house.

I wouldn't say he's a dumbass for the promotion.  At least he found a way to keep his name in the news.

I'd say he's a dumbass for bragging about the easy availability of items with a high fence value in his home.  He might as well brag about the gold bars he keeps under his bed.

You won't pay attention to the moderates. It's just like the news -- you concentrate on the one fire hydrant getting knocked over, forget about the thousands of dripping faucets.

I've set the bar pretty low.

If he was truly concerned for his safety, he'd have no guns in his home.  He certainly wouldn't intentionally store them loaded and unlocked.

Check your local gun shop or online retailers. Guns and ammo are scarce.

1) Nutcase murders classroom full of first-graders with an AR-15
2) NRA blasts spreads hysteria to the impressionable rubes, "Obama and the UN gonna take your GUNZZ!!11!!"
2) Conservatives go crazy buying up every AR-15 and all the ammo they can find
3) Profit

Lovely people, conservatives.

It says on the site - "Contest Rules: No purchase necessary. Contest void where prohibited by law. One entry per person. To enter this website's contest fill out the online entry form before midnight on the date listed above.

Did I miss something? Not that I really care if I can't enter...I would have no use for that thing anyway and would just try to take the cash equivalent on the very much off chance that I won.

In the meantime, I think I am going to have some fun with this picture.

"Guns are in my house. High capacity, loaded, and not locked in a safe."

Note to anyone that's curious: if you have children under the age of 18 living with you in your house this is in fact explicitly illegal in every state, and makes you 100% liable for any mischief one of said minors gets into with said weapon.

I mean, also goddamned stupid, but in this case I think the highly illegal aspect is sort of the more relevant concern for mister patriotic I love my country guy.

//Albeit, "high capacity" means nothing, it's the loaded and not locked up bits that are the issue.  One or the other is fine, but both constitutes negligent storage unless you're the only person with access to that room or something similar.

See Ane this is what I don't understand about some 2nd amendment defenders.  I love the first amendment, so I'm willing to defend it even when it causes unpleasantness like say Nazis marching  in a Jewish neighborhood-but that doesn't mean that I'm gonna hand out copies of  Mein Kampf along the parade route. But gun nuts seem to be insanely offended if you even SUGGEST that guns have even the slightest downside

I shall enter the contest and if I win, I will donate it to the first low-income deeply-troubled, mentally-disturbed person that submits the best crayon-drawn manifesto. I will throw in 10 boxes of ammo and a Kevlar jacket if they live within walking distance of a televangelist's home or if the subject of the manifesto involves the angrily scribbled words, 'tea-party', 'freedom' or 'helter skelter' followed by either exclamation points or lipstick kisses.

Has there been a news agency that has classified an AR-15 as a WMD?

I'm guessing that's what kronicfeld was getting at.
