Fast forward 15 years: Woman charged with illegally entering an office because she did not like the cubicle her snowflake was working at.

I don't know why there was such a fuss - she could've simply waited for another ride - and hung out in a local garden or village green.

There's rows of parks there...

it'd be nice to know why she did it, because that would wildly change how i feel about this.

she got on the bus because her daughter was being bullied by seat mate and the bus driver wouldn't take the kid seriously/kid is young and too intimidated to say anything? i'm on her side
she got on the bus because he daughter had to sit with some random poor kid and not her BFFs? throw the book at her

Jury is divided about having to sit next to the weird kid who smells like urine and won't stop talking to the bus driver.

Fark you, Mr. High And Mighty! Back in elementary school, I *was* that "weird" kid who smelled like urine. You think we don't have feelings? You think we don't notice if Mrs. Underwood makes us sit outside and listen through the window because of the way we smell? Do you know what it's like to try and learn anything when you're freezing your urine-soaked ass off? Check your entitlement, Mister. Check it to the MAX!

Hah hah hah!

Actually, at our school that weird kid's parents co-owned the local septic truck company. They were quite rich...from poop.

Yeah, probably not the best plan there less than a month after an asshat in Florida illegally entered a bus explicitly to shoot the driver and take some random children hostage to facilitate a police standoff.

I mean, she didn't necessarily mean harm but honestly given her ridiculously poor sense of timing she's mostly lucky she got sent to court instead of the driver sending her to the hospital with a couple small-caliber gunshot wounds or something.  You know that half the bus drivers in the nation are packing, legally or not, after that story hit the media.

I had to sit on my backpack in the aisle half the time, going to high school.  According to the school/bus, you could sit 3 high schoolers per seat, but no one would move in for me since you can't actually fit 3 high schoolers per seat.  That was fun.

Not being a parent, I had absolutely no idea about that story.  So my first thought after reading this one was, "Who gives a shiat if someone that the driver can positively identify as the child's parent needs to talk to her about a problem with seating?  When did it become a crime for a parent to talk to a school bus driver?"

That was my thought too. Isn't she recognizable by now? I know it's not impossible a parent could snap, but it's not terribly likely.  That this is handled in the court system at all seems a terrible waste of everyone's time and money.

school buses are a horrible waste of taxpayer dollars. let the little shiats either walk, ride a bike, or attend school via internet. makes no sense that children still go to school buildings. if they need supervision because of age and parents work have the children gather in small groups in local homes where an adult is a stay at home. there are senior citizens that would love to have the kids over. i shouldn't have to explain this shiat, it's obvious and overdue. hauling children around like packages has been foolishly wasteful from the beginning. tell Mom turn off the damn soap opera and spend some time with your little monsters. this country would save millions of dollars while decreasing pollution. use the school buildings for the homeless and the mentally ill. most of the kids aren't going to amount to much to begin with, just teach them to push a broom or work a McDonald's cash register and let them bring home a paycheck. save everyone a lot of unnecessary misery.

In about 25 years, there won't be schools as we know them. Education will be done through educational software, custom-tailored to your children's needs.

My thoughts exactly.

The fact that she had her kid move before she would exit makes me think it's a bullying issue, and not a pretty pretty princess one.

2013-02-24 12:58:41 AM
My brother was being bullied on the school bus and my mom tried going through proper channels (teacher, principal, bus driver, bus company) with no change. Then one day my brother came home in tears- the bus driver had started to,tease him along with the bully and it had been going on for awhile and he couldn't take it anymore. The story was corroborated by neighborhood kids who had tried to tell the driver stop but she began to turn on them too.

One Friday my mom took my brother to school, picked him up, and then waited at the bus stop (it was the last stop). When the bus arrived she boarded and ripped the bus driver a new one. The bus driver cried. Mom then called the school while still on the bus and spoke with the principal, told him what happened and that she would be in Monday morning to discuss why things had to be handled this way.  The other kids on th bus cheered.

That bus driver was never seen again and the bully do the most part left my brother alone.

CSS?

What many of you may not have realized as the article was sparse with details, is that the mom may have had good reason to be there. Maybe the seat mate was a bully. Maybe he was a sexual predator.

When details lack, I usually believe the mom.

Why should a bus driver give a crap what parents look like?

We've seen plenty of parents storm onto school buses to avenge their bullied children. It always ends badly. It's perfectly sensible to ban them from buses and take them to court if they disobey.

Or just throw them under the bus.  Got a schedule to keep, y'know.
