This is the death of retail!

Frat guys moved onto khaki daisy dukes, vented pastel-colored fishing shirts, and loafers.

Good. Their policy of pumping 50000 cubic feet per second of shiatty cologne into mall common areas is enough to make you puke.

I never found their stores or marketing appealing anyway. They won't be missed.

They're closing (by not renewing leases) stores in shiat malls in need of a bulldozer and those out in the sticks.

I think a bunch of them are actually going to be Hollisters as opposed to A&F.

Low profile malls in bad neighborhoods and small towns dont have A&Fs but they may well have a Hollister, if not for much longer.

Lordie lord you aren't kidding... last time I made the mistake of walking in front of one, the odor was so overpowering and so unanticipated that it short-circuited my brain. I had to reach out for a light pole to keep from being knocked down. Yes, it was that bad, and this was in the open-air part of the mall so the poison was being continuously removed by the wind. I can't imagine how bad it would be in the enclosed part of a mall.

I'm just going on memory (so no citation) , but back in the '80s A&F was a popular brand. This was when there were still thriving malls and Sam Goody stores.

but if memory serves me well - and maybe it doesn't....i've had a lot of beer over the years... they changed hands at least twice.

So the A&F I shopped at in the '80s is not really the same A&F you people know and love (or hate) today.

So to me the only question is whether or not the name will survive. I don't really care either. I have no dog in this race.

Fark A&F - overpriced preppy shiat is how I remember them.

/haven't set foot in an A&F store for over 20 years and I'm not missin' a thing

Maybe try being less gay?

You're right. Gay people spend all their money on their kids and don't pay any attention to fashion.
