Looks like my Saturday at work will not be boring! I haven't really looked at the predictions for this year's Super 15. Who is the team to beat?

England, of course ;-P

First up a mid table fight between Italy and Wales. Can Italy keep their good run going or have the Welsh turned their game around

No Catchy Nickname: England, of course ;-P

HA! I have no real loyalties in 15...but when the Four Nations series starts up, I wear black!

We used to get all the games on Fox Sports for free about 10 years ago and got to watch some world class players, Greegan, Sailor, Meeuws, Waugh, Spencer etc then everything went PPV. Just now starting to get caught up with the teams again.

England beat the All Blacks back in December. I have never heard my Dad so happy over the phone.

"Dad, the wife's pregnant."
"That's nice. Anyway, have you heard the news here!?"

HAHAHAHAHAHA!

England/NZ has always been a good slugfest. I do hold a lot of respect for England's side. One of the best plays I ever saw was Wilkinson's laser toe drop kick against Oz in the 2003 World Cup.

I'm at work so I steam everything on First Row. LOVE that site.

Subby, get with the program: it's crouch, touch, SET these days.

This Italy v Wales game is a mess. No-one wants to carry the ball in this pissing rin.

Also, Castrogiovanni is lucky not to have been in the bin, as he is popping at almost every scrum.

Nice, Jon Davies... Take that, in these conditions

Came to say this.
Had my first game with the new calls today myself.
Confusing as feck
but then, I am a forward

You should try It as a ref. those old calls became automatic, and now you're thinking about every one.  And it's not as if you don't have enough worries at scrum time.

Solid double-digit win in difficult conditions... Not much of a game though.

2013-02-23 11:38:50 AM
England are 8 point favourites - I've gotta say I'd take France and the points.

2013-02-23 11:54:50 AM
Looks like the Super matches this week have all been pretty close.

2013-02-23 11:57:05 AM
Screw the northern hemisphere. Nice job last night Reds, after that disaster in Canberra last week.

2013-02-23 12:05:24 PM
Damn...Farrell has a boot on him.

This is pretty fierce... bit short of quality, but full of ferocity.

Day-em! Nice try by France!

2013-02-23 12:33:06 PM
Oh Fofana! Great run, but the first-up tacklers have to carry the reponsibility...

2013-02-23 01:24:54 PM
England's tackling is piss poor. What happened to round the leg tackles?

2013-02-23 01:37:03 PM
England's discipline and technique around the tackle area are exemplary

2013-02-23 02:00:09 PM
What the hell has happened to France. They've been miserable all tourney.

Blues won their first game!i am a happy man

Some lot of it is down to the French clubs. All of the French players that could of played last week did while most of the Englands players didn't and spent the time training with each other. The French clubs don't have the same scientific approach to fitness that the English ones do (and often go overboard with).

Plus the team is in transition. When the younger players were on in the first half the French were very competative but when the older players came on as replacements it all fell apart.

Short answer the normal French ridiculous or sublime. Watch them destroy the next two teams.

Funny, I'm a tahs supporter and I was happy with that game. Not sure it was a win the reds can take a lot of comfort from. I guess we will see how both teams go on from here (and more importantly, we'll see how they play against the NZ teams).

I'm confused.

Is Rugby the sport where you beat the effiminate man with a wooden bat?

No it's the sport that's like American football but without any padding or helmets.

Last game of the Six Nations for two weeks - this one has the potential to be an excellent game, with two inexperienced sides who desperately want a win.

Wow. Great rendition of Flower Of Scotland...

2013-02-24 09:46:44 AM
Ireland utterly dominated Scotland in every stat possible except one.

The score.

The only thing i can think of is that either Ireland are farking awful or the entire Irish team has lots of money on half time points spread.

2013-02-24 10:13:20 AM
How is this still close?

2013-02-24 10:44:49 AM
Tackle count Scotland 128, Ireland 44. Crazy, crazy game.

2013-02-24 11:41:12 AM
Ridiculous game from Scotland - no right to win at all.  Ireland have a real problem at 10 without Sexton.

My favourite games to play in are always the ones we had no right to win. You never see the ball, you tackle all afternoon, everyone hits the breakdown, everyone defends the line like it is the only thing that matters and somehow, in that brief moment you have ball in hand, you find the line.

Glorious way to play

2013-02-25 10:07:03 AM
Missed it. Wow...it was a low scoring game. Details?
