Holy fark I cannot believe this is a news story and she was arrested for it. fark people are stupid. I guess they should have locked my mom up for tying my socks together when I was a kid. The fact I was giggling and in on the joke be damned.

Really?

The kids thought it would be funny, so she does it, and then she gets shiat for it? When they were cool with it?

*rereads* Or was it the friend's idea? Unclear if the children were the source of the idea or not, but either way this just seems dumb.

But fathers should never have custody since a mother would never do something like this to her children.

Terrydatroll: The irony of it is that having fun and playing with your kids by putting duct tape on their heads to make them look like robocop is considered child endangerment when relatively no danger exists, while it is perfectly legal to take your kids rock climbing, boating, sky diving, snow skiing, and even to the most dangerous place in the world..the freeway.

Yes, because all of those activities stimulate the economy (put money in someone's pockets).

loveuntilmadness: HideMonkey: *reads story*

*thinks everyone is overreacting, but doesn't want to say so without checking facts*

*finds duct tape in kitchen drawer; wraps duct tape firmly (2x) around eyebrows and wispy graying hair*

*removes duct tape with minor discomfort and the loss of half a dozen eyebrow hairs*

*mentally prepares report for Fark*

Everyone is overreacting.

/those parents are groossss

I agree with HideMonkey. Over reacting to acts of stupidity and under reacting to obvious abuse seems to be America's norm any more.

Agreed. The irony of it is that having fun and playing with your kids by putting duct tape on their heads to make them look like robocop is considered child endangerment when relatively no danger exists, while it is perfectly legal to take your kids rock climbing, boating, sky diving, snow skiing, and even to the most dangerous place in the world..the freeway. The more stupid Americans become the more liberal we become...or is that the other way around....either way,.

Sounds like society is arresting parents who allow their children to play make believe. Next step is obviously to drug the kid with ritalin. Why would some child want to pretend to be something he is not?

This ranks up there with the guy who was arrested because there was a picture of him holding his baby and a gun at the same time.  With the gun nowhere near the baby.
