As someone who married an Aussie...Nope. To be fair though, I inspire that reaction from most women.

I'm assuming that they put the sharks in the water traps just for lulz.

Bull sharks tolerate fresh water and hunt up rivers frequently.  One was likely responsible for the Jersey shore attacks that inspired Jaws.

If you watch River Monsters there's a couple episodes where he pulls Bull Sharks out of various rivers (Australia, South Africa and India if I remember correctly).

And Brazil, I think.

I know they have caught them in the Mississippi and several other southern rivers, heck, some almost as far north as Canada (maybe farther, but I don't really know). Bull sharks are usually the first sharks suspected whenever there's an attack, probably because our Venn diagrams overlap moreso than with most sharks.

Then there was the New Jersey attacks in 1916. Makes ME feel safe. From what I understand they seem to become more aggressive in fresh water.

RTFA

Says they got in there a few years ago during the floods and have survived and bred.

I'm tempted to go play golf with the guys from the brew shop now.  That course is only 15mins away from me.

Now thats a water hazard. Make them play were it lies. Might make golf worth watching.

So what do they feed the sharks?  Slow playing golfers?
