I just hope his first concert  of this tour is in the Bronx, North Philly, or Camden and therefore his last concert.

Dear Ted,

How are you? I am fine. Please GDIAF ASAP. Also, as a has been rocker, your political opinions are best kept to yourself...as they are awful. As are you. Stop talking.

Love,
Smgth

ThrnPhl: Here's the same story on Rolling Stone.

It's a sad state of affairs when Republicans are consistently acting so damn retarded you can't tell if a story about them is satire or not.

In Dave Chappelle's racial draft, I think the white folks would gladly trade him to the black folks for a couple of buckets of Kentucky fried chicken.

Wow.  Just when you think the pants-poopin-draft-dodgin-chickenhawk-bein-Republitard posterboy couldn't get that much further out there...blammo!  SURPRISE!

Thanks Ted.  Keep shinin' you crazy diamond.

He's launching a tour he's dubbed Ted Nugent Black Power 2013," because no one who works for him is allowed to disagree with Ted Nugent anymore, apparently.

Duh.  He'll shoot 'em if they do.

St_Francis_P: Noted black leader Ted Nugent launches "Black Power" tour, to empower black people

If he really does this, it will be the LOL fest of the year. Do it, Ted: do it!

Hell, it would be pretty hard to top the LOLs in just the article...

OK, which Farker wrote this? Fess up, I know it was one of you. Only a Farker could write this:

This, rather than helping to strengthen black America in the way that Ted Nugent does, whenever he plays the powerfully black music of Ted Nugent.

Claim your rightful place in snark heaven!

Is that Eartha Kitt?

It's Robert Williams and his wife Mabel.  Pick up a copy of Radio Free Dixie by Timothy Tyson for a good read on the origins of the black power movement.

I thought the November he mentions is the 2013 one. If so, he still has time to achieve either goal.

Just a friendly reminder...

the one and only album released by Ted Nugent that anyone cares about (if you like bland 70s rock) was released in May 1977.

Some 13,067 days ago.

Why do we care what he says about anything?

Flappyhead: DubyaHater: "Cat Scratch Fever" sucked and his career catapulted into a brick wall. He hasn't been relevant since 1977 and there's a difference between your fame as a musician and your outlandish behavior towards Democrats. Why isn't this asshole dead yet?

Because hand raised deer aren't likely to charge you're pants shiatting ass when you're ten feet away with a bow.

That's what I don't get. How are people buying the tough guy image of a guy who does the hunting equivalent of shooting up a petting zoo?

Oh, Theodore! Just what am I going to do with you, child?

Even the WMD commenters aren't buying Nugent's insane rants anymore.

"Apartheid isn't that cut and dry. All men are not created equal. The preponderance of South Africa is a different breed of man ... They still put bones in their noses, they still walk around naked, they wipe their butts with their hands ...These are different people. You give 'em toothpaste, they farking eat it."

Nugent interviewed in the Detroit Free Press Magazine,1990

Stay classy Ted.

I'm glad I'm not the only one who read that and thought, "Did the Onion accidentally post a satirical article to the AV Club?"

Wow, Ted. Wow. Come on man. Stranglehold's a great song and all, but not great enough to forgive derpcon 1 levels of stupid, like this. Have at least a single atom's worth of shame, guy.

The important thing is that people are talking about the Nuge again.

2/10, Ted.

Google search for Nugent concert found these images. See if you can spot 1 non-white person. I did omit a picture of him with about 15 military personnel, that did have some color in it.

I was feeding a jukebox once and had James Brown playing. A nice looking, kinda biker woman came up to me and smiled and asked "why are you playing that ni(bong!) music?" Ted Nugent reminds me of that time.

Remember all those conservatives complaining about celebrities who talk politics? Shut up and sing? Complaining about Sean Penn, George Clooney, or Matt Damon are being "too political?" I think it shows real courage on their part when they say absolutely nothing when the celebrity's saying political stuff they like.

Or maybe it has more to do with the conservative celebrities mostly being washed up has beens, who knows. At least they've got Eastwood. And the Republicans also had Steve McQueen.

Chickenhawks are notorious for idolizing their own kind.  See Limbaugh, Rush for more on this.

Ted Nugent is just the modern day, less cool incarnation of John Wayne. They're both racist, right wing, draft dodging pussies who try to project a tough guy public image.

My previous response attempt was prematurely aborted.

Mr. Nugent stated that he would be either dead or in jail within one year should President Obama be re-elected. As such, Mr. Nugent cannot be said to have reneged upon his claim until after April.

This is Ted Nugent thinking that he's a hero to black people, right?

The same Ted Nugent that Jimi Hendrix thought was a gun-obsessed weirdo cracker-ass?

I was wondering... has anyone seen Ted Nugent and Max Hardcore at the same time?

I'm as left as one can get on the political line but I must admit I've loved going to Nugent's shows since I was in my late teens. I don't have any use for is political thoughts but I love to watch him play guitar. I've always been able to separate the person from the art though. After all Mel Gibson has always been my favorite actor.

John Wayne was in several great and important films (at least two). Ted Nugent has never been involved in anything that wasn't pedestrian crap.

Damn, fish tacos would be good right now. I think I have all the ingredients, too. Wait! No tortillas, and I'm too drunk and stoned to go get some-fark. Now I have to look up tortilla recipes, and it'll probably be a disaster.

The Searchers was a fantastic film, and he was great in it. His character was an asshole with few if any redeeming qualities, so he didn't even really have to act.
