(Entertainment Weekly)   Did you catch Leslie and Ben's wedding on Parks and Recreation last night? If so, you missed the reason why this show is one of the best written on TV right now   (popwatch.ew.com) divider line 62

Hobo Jr.: Well, awesome.

As someone who hasn't been able to watch any of this season, I love having episodes endings told to me.

They're free online.  Their engagement has been known for weeks.  That they *were* getting married was known a week ago.  So, dude, you'll get over it.

Mike Chewbacca: I'm not going to sit through 48 episodes of crap and "awkward humor" (think of Ben Stiller and Jim from American Pie) to get to the good parts. I'd rather watch Better Off Ted for sixth time.

It's not a show about humiliation humor. Even though they're both filmed in that mockumentary style, "The Office" and "P&R" have totally different comedic sensibilities.

And it's only the first season -- it was six episodes, like "The Office" -- that sucked. To me, they found their groove at the beginning of the second season, and it's been great ever since.

But I don't give a fark about what you watch, so if you don't want to take the word of everyone who watches this show, that's your prerogative.

Shut up Jerry.

Amy Poehler is Gilda Radner with better writing and with a character that has room to grow over the course of a series.

/Still miss Gilda

I completely disagree about that episode.  I've watched the show from the beginning. Yes, the first season sucked, but since then, they've been great. That wedding episode was not funny at all though. It seemed so forced. Why are they turning it into a romantic-comedy? It was hilarious when it was a great cast of weird people working for the city, now there's way too much shiat going on. And even though she is hot, I still have no idea why Rashida Jones is on the show.

If my job is ever to write a 3-page article about a sitcom, put a gun in my mouth and pull the trigger because I'm just a waste of resources.

Crud.  I stopped tuning in on Thursdays because the Office is just plain unwatchable, I can't get into Community, and they don't play P&R with any sort of regularity.

I guess I'll catch it online.

FOX shows don't air for 7 days on Hulu so when the Fringe series finally aired on TV and I saw a thread on it here you know what I didn't do? I didn't click on the damn thread!  I'ts not so hard.

No I quit watching season 3 somewhere and I'm glad I did.

Super late to the thread, but it seems to me - based on the order of the opening credits - that she was supposed to be a lead character opposite Poehler, a foil, rather than the meek and pointless supporting character that she is. Bad writing.

Besides wanting to tonguepunch her fartbox just on general principle, she does a fantastic job with her relatively underwritten role in the show: disdainful of everyone but fiercely loyal to her husband, even though she knows he's a dimwit. I'd suggest that the entire show should be about April and Andy, but I realize that the only reason her character works so well is because she's doled out in tiny doses, and thus, doesn't become overexposed.

/wishes Aubrey Plaza would get overexposed...

I think this right here explains the type of people that find this show funny
