Dow Jones and the Temple of Doom: Kinda bummed to see Damon return. Renner was passed the torch and did a wonderful job. Let him have the franchise, and leave Damon to do bad leftist propaganda films.
calbert: MehMatt Damon vows to do his own Bourne movie. Look for Still Bourne some time in 2013 09 Jan 2011
I_Am_Weasel: So Damon is Bourne again?
Ishkur: Will Michael J. Fox still be Director of Cinematography?
Mugato: I couldn't really tell the first three apart. All three of them were all "Who am I? Where am I? I'm in your office looking at you but also who am I?" for six hours. Then the last one was like James Bond meets Trainspotting. "I guess I'm a spy but where are my drugs? And who am I?".
padraig: I don't understand how Jeremy Renner gets so many high profile roles lately. Mind you, he's certainly not a bad actor, far from it, but he's pretty much bland and charisma-less.

padraig: At least Jeremy can act.But you are right. Sam Worthington is the Tintin of actors : a blank canvas onto which anybody can project himself.
Ishkur: padraig: At least Jeremy can act.But you are right. Sam Worthington is the Tintin of actors : a blank canvas onto which anybody can project himself.I have a theory that in Hollywood there are certain look-and-personality archetypes that filmmakers always need and if an actor fits one of those archetypes to a T, they get all the roles. And two things happen that causes them to stop getting the roles: 1) They grow old and no longer fit the archetype or 2) The film industry finds someone better (and usually younger).Look at Lindsay Lohan as an example -- the buxom teenage savvy redhead. There are always demands for that archetype and Lohan should have parlayed it into a huge career but when she became a trainwreck and unreliable, the industry quickly found a replacement in Emma Stone. And now Stone is basically getting all the roles that probably would have gone to Lohan.Same with Jeremy Renner.... you don't see Sam Worthington around much anymore for that reason (I don't mean that Worthington trainwrecked like Lohan... I simply mean that Renner is more preferable for that particular archetype).
movieman_1979: Maybe the plot should involve them infiltrating a biker gang. Look for 'Bourne To Be Wild' this Christmas!
elvindeath: Was the latest Bourne movie even worth watching ?I must say, I love these mindless spy action movies. When I get to pick the movies on movie night, any time I can pick a Bourne movie or something like Taken and get the wife to agree, I consider it a huge victory.
momby: Fell in love with Jeremy Renner in the tv series The Unusuals.
Infobahn: So if he comes back, is he Bourne Free? As free as the wind blows...
MadSkillz: Dow Jones and the Temple of Doom: leave Damon to do bad leftist propaganda films.Sorry, what are you referring to in terms of bad leftist propoganda films?
johnnieconnie: I would love to see some Renner/Damon slash fic in lieu of another Bourne movie.
Mercury: johnnieconnie: I would love to see some Renner/Damon slash fic in lieu of another Bourne movie.May I introduce you to AO3? http://archiveofourown.org/
Missicat: momby: Fell in love with Jeremy Renner in the tv series The Unusuals.Glad to hear I am not the only one who watched that show.....great characters...
devilEther: MadSkillz: Dow Jones and the Temple of Doom: leave Damon to do bad leftist propaganda films.Sorry, what are you referring to in terms of bad leftist propoganda films? He's referring to 'Promised Land'. Because it's leftist to express concern over the air and water contamination and radiation exposure that results from fracking. it's rightist to ignore the danger to public welfare because the practice of fracking helps maximize the profits of the gas companies.
Otto_E_Rodika: Yes, a bomb of a film (7.5 mil domestic and zero chance for more internationally) funded by Arab oil money is going to change the world.
DMZ DEATH: Missicat: momby: Fell in love with Jeremy Renner in the tv series The Unusuals.Glad to hear I am not the only one who watched that show.....great characters...Awesome show. It really was.
lectos: It's going to be a homoerotic thriller named "Bourne This Way"
GavinTheAlmighty: I enjoyed Legacy, but it felt that it was written more someone who was a fan of the Bourne Trilogy, but didn't have extensive screenwriting experience. It all felt a bit rushed, and I felt that the plot was just silly, even for a Bourne movie. Still, it had an insanely good cast, and the acting and action was all fine - The chase scene was fantastic.
