yobbery: Ralph was born with a genetic heart defect.... (snip) I remember at his first checkup as a wee kitten the vet detected the heart murmur and mentioned that it would shorten his life.

IMHO, as with any congenital condition, while it is certainly possible and perhaps to be expected, it is not an absolute - Dragon too, has a heart murmur, which he was diagnosed with at the tender age of 10 weeks. Thankfully it has not affected him.

(I remember I took him to the vet a few years ago for his shots, and my regular doc was on vacation, and her replacement informed me of the fact - I looked him straight in the eye and said yeah, I know it runs in the family. I have one, as well as my mother and my niece. I let him look at me like the cat pictured below for a minute before I cracked up laughing. And yes we all really do have a murmur.)

EW!  One of the worst things about picking strawberries when I was a kid was all the little slugs on 'em.  This is elebenty trillion times worse!  I may never eat another slug strawberry shortcake again!

I've never had to deal with that. The skwerls love to rip my plants out of the ground every spring. I end up with about 1/4 or less than I started with when I began planting. Last year they got ALL of the strawberry plants, both of my okra plants, almost all my zucchini plants but one (and they damaged that one so badly it barely produced) - well, let's just say I feasted on the world's most expensive and labor intensive veggies in the history of California last summer. I got almost nothing out of my poor garden. A slug would have been "Bonus protein! w00t!" - for a neighborhood cat, anyway.

Tape it to it's neighbor(s).  That is what the doc will do as long as it isn't dislocated.  If it is dislocated, he will put it back into alignment, then tape it to it's neighbor(s).

As long as your neighbor doesn't mind and you like him or her!

Friday is housework day in my house - I work most Saturdays, and I refuse to waste my one day off a week by cleaning on Sunday.  Before I go to work on Fridays, I strip the linens from my bed and get them washed.  Yesterday, I was a bit slow in the removal process, so this happened...

Here's Birdie getting comfy:

[lh3.googleusercontent.com image 480x640]

And Vince in the sink:

[lh3.googleusercontent.com image 640x480]

This has become a minor problem.  Vince gets into the sink whenever I'm on the can and won't get out.  (No, I am not going to turn on the water.)  So I have to go to the kitchen to wash up.

Maybe he wants you to turn on the water.  My cat loves watching me use the sink.  He gets in afterwards to inspect the magical source of water.

I can appreciate the minor problem!  Every time I go into the bathroom, either Zara or Theo needs to race me to see who can launch themselves on the toilet lid before I raise it and then Zara stalks the countertop while Theo lays in the sink yowling.  Makes tooth brushing especially fun!  Theo does want me to turn the water on, but not to drink - he wants to get wet and then he wants me to towel him off so he can do it again.

I feel ya Z. When I was a kid, our cat Columbo used to like to sleep in my bed at night,
curled up  in the crook of my neck with her nose buried in my ear. Which was fine but
for the fact that she was a drooler as well as a purrer. So I'd wake up in the morning
and sit up and have runnels of drool coming out of my ear.

Fun times.

Question of how the snake got in the window:  thru the holes in the screen.  (note to self, get that fixed).  I knew of the one hole, that occurred a few years ago with a rock was thrown while mowing the lawn.  The new hole, I believe is new via snake.  I wonder if he wintered in my window.  That window faces west and gets lots of nice warm Florida sun.   he did NOT pay attention to the ADT sign!!!!!

I had no idea he was there...till at midnight I heard noise and went to investigate.  I worry about looking out the window...never know WHAT you will find.  I didn't see him at first....then I looked again...and heard the tapping.   I ended up watching food network for a bit...to relax, walked around the house, went in to see what the cats were making noise about in the guest room (they were just being heathens).  And I looked again and again.  and again.  and when I got up to go to the bathroom I turned the lights on.  Why yes.....it bothers me!

I'm still quite freaked about the snake.  Glad I could share the freak out with others.

Good morning folks,
I made scones with strawberry jam for breakfast, so good with coffee.
I found my girl kitties have been running in and out of the garage any time they want. Clever girls discovered that by climbing up the walls they can get out between the top plate and the rafters. They have been hanging out on the roof and I am sure they can get to the ground by going down one of the over hanging trees.
I had to move the baby chickens outside, much to my sons dismay. He had been taking the little black one out and making it ride an rc truck, letting it run around on the floor, and having it sit on his arm. I think he wants to train it like a pirate parrot.
Here is Jeep sitting on his arm.

When it comes to pain, swelling and exhibiting colors of the rainbow, there is not a lot of difference between a bone bruise and a break. Look on the bright side, it could have been a hell of a lot worse....

Actually, there's a living membrane around the bone called the periostium that can swell and put down tissue when injured. This is why you get an "egg" sometimes when you bark your shin or get clobbered on the head. AND the other soft tissues can swell, too! Multiple owie!

Wow! Ya really do learn something new every day on Fark! Cool. Now I have a new word and it won't get me in trouble anywhere.

Wow! Sounded like a break. Glad it's "just" a bone bruise. (Yeah, "just" if it isn't happening to you...) I have a suspicion it's not your bone that's swelling, it's all the tissue around the bone that's swelling. Ibuprofen, ice and elevate it, huh?. Get used to wearing your favorite loose slippers. That's what I did when I had to go outside after I broke a couple of my toesies. I also bought some of those Dr Scholl's Diabetic/Circulation socks (which are expensive) 'cuz my feet were getting cold and my regular socks were too tight because of the swelling. Glad we're not going to have to send a contingent of cats to visit you in the hospital for The Worst Broken Toe in History. That's totally what they feel like they are, anyway.

Apparently these little dudes only get to be a few pounds when they're full grown, small enough that a type of large owl is its major predator. They're predators, too, but obviously can't take down anything too terribly big. They're native to desert regions of North Africa and that's one reason why they have such nifty ears - they dissipate heat.

Here's one scratching his widd... freakishly lar... very cute ear!

gremlin1: Gremie has decided he doesn't like dry cat food anymore, he only wants gooshie food. He just threw a full bowl of dry food off the table onto the floor. When I went to see what was going on he just looked at me and said "meow". Meanwhile Jack cleaned up the food on the floor, he's never one to waste anything edible. I grabbed Gremie's dish and put some more food in it, just a little. He pushed it off the table again.
He is now crying because I refused to give him more gooshie food and the dry food bowl is still empty. I'll wait awhile and give some more later, maybe he'll eat it then.

Eli has been weird about food lately as well. He will cry that his bowl is empty. I put a few kibbles in..he looks at me and cries...obviously not what he wanted! And he's been leaving some gooshy food to nom later in the morning, which he never did before...he has me well trained!

[images.petsadviser.com.s3.amazonaws.com image 400x312]

Ehhh, true, but we get a nice dry heat, so things like sweating and cold drinks actually do something. (Also, swimming, yay!) I've been in places where it's 100 degrees and 100% humidity out and they were a bajillion times more miserable than my time overseas. Strangely, those also tend to be the places that also snow in the winter. Yeeeeah, you lot can keep your "distinct seasons," I'll enjoy warm summers and rainy winters. :P

*Rubs hands together for warmth and waits for inevitable summer-vs-winter flamewar to break out.*

Heh. When a couple of cousins came to visit from Norway one summer, one threw up in the garbage can outside the airport while we were waiting for the shuttle bus and his sister fainted a few minutes later. I was born and raised here in Cali, but those Nordic genes mean I don't handle the heat very well. I handle it a lot better than those two do, but still not very well.

You're right about the dry heat for sure. Slurpees are my coolant of choice - they totally work. I should buy stock in Southland Corp (7-11) because I've always got a Slurpee in my hand if I have to go outside in the summer, just so I don't fall out from the heat, too.

So far I looked at flickr...nope...then I went to picasa...another no (their TOS give them the right to implant alien eggs in my chest.)
I think I might take a look at smugmug. QJ uses it so it's gotta be good.

I don't know about the other hosting sites, but SmugMug doesn't offer free hosting.
They have several hosting plans, some of which are reasonably cheap. Not free, but cheap.
I have absolutely *ZERO* complaints about them or their service and support.
I have been with them for almost six years.
In addition, neither I nor visitors to my site have to put up with ads or signing up for access.
They *do* have a *14 day Free Trial*

They also have a program that gives credit for referrals you make.
For example, my referral code is "U82v78Is8yJ92" (hint hint)
It costs the referree nothing and earns the referrer credit towards their subscription.

Overall, I quite satisfied with my decision to go with them.
As digital imaging has gone from mini-gherkins to megapickles, Smugmug has kept up.

BTW - The video on my laptop has gone beserk, so I'm not having a good time and
can't even begin to do any photo editing. I need to figure out how to rectify this situation.
It's like trying to view HD video on a VIC-20. *shiver*

It looks like a great site. I think I'm going to sign up for an account. Thanks for the referral code...I'll be sure to use it. Do you get free hushpuppies for every referral?

Sorry to hear about your laptop. Maybe this will hold you over until you fix it....

I don't think Jack could handle more than one, there are days when Gremie makes him nervous as it is, having a whole group would probably send him for the prescription drugs.

I love this photo of him.  He looks like such a funny character.
So sorry to hear that he's gone.  For such a short life, he sure was loved.

Big hugs to you and the whole Micro family.  xoxo

Oh, man! The GoGo Beastie just came downstairs wanting some skritches after her nap and I don't know what happened up there, but she's got something all over the right side of her fur. I would not be one bit surprised if my son (who is in his 20's and should know better) spilled something and she took her nap in it. "I didn't clean it up because I didn't want to bother the cat". WTF?!? Clean up after yourself and NO I will not help you do it!!! Now I have to give my favorite potential homicidal maniac a bath. Again. Dang it!

I think I'll wait until tomorrow when my sister comes home to do it so I have backup. By that I mean "someone to call 911 in case the cat manages to seriously hurt me", of course.

Not the GoGo Beastie, but this is apparently a universal bath avoidance technique. Right before they turn on you.

Ralph was born with a genetic heart defect. He threw a clot to the back legs at the age of five. I remember at his first checkup as a wee kitten the vet detected the heart murmur and mentioned that it would shorten his life. We took that to mean that at some point in his life he would gradually decline...We weren't expecting it to be so sudden. It was a total shock for us, but for his sake I'm glad it was quick.

He was a nearly perfect Tuxie, and probably the biggest brat I had the pleasure of knowing.

Good morning everyone!

I need to get out to the farm and work on the drywall and electrical but I have this problem:

farm9.staticflickr.com
He NEVER sits on laps or likes to cuddle but this morning he sneaked onto my legs and started to purr himself to sleep. I have to let him nap it out.
Got the water on in the house again. We fixed the leaks in the master bath and decided to fill the water heater (after replacing the supply line with the ice maker tap). Now I have to buy a new pressure relief valve as it is leaking away under the house. I am starting to feel like Roseann Rosanna Danna!

My son was under the house fixing the drain for the shower in the master bath when he ask for the 25' tape measure, he ask me to write down some numbers. He called out two numbers, length and width, and then gave me a second set to write down. I ask what he was measuring. He said he was going to find the spot where the water lines come in under the house.
The current shut off for the house is under the middle of it and I hate the thought of having to climb under there or run out to the road if I needed to shut off the water. I am going to put an outside faucet and a shut off to the whole house on the outside where it is easy to get at if needed.
So then he ask for my project calculator and sat down with pencil and paper. He went out and said "it should be 99 inches from this corner" Damned if he wasn't dead on. I need to ask how he figured it out, I was going to start digging around the front of the house and work my my around until I found them, his way was faster and less work.
Well the cat is up and I have lots more work to do.
Be back later with more cat pictures, forgot to put the memory card in my camera so I could not get any of the happy farms cats from yesterday.

Yay, Photobucket finally fixed their "you can't has video" problem! I'm reposting this because I feel like bothering you lot because it's 3am and I can't sleep. Also, Sassy is cute when he has The Crazy. Attack of the Shower Curtain! (New window!) The new PB still sucks, though. Oh well, you get what you pay for, I suppose, and I'm using it for free. :-\

Ah well, time to try and get SOME sleep. Back to searching for rental places first thing in the morning, and calling around on Monday. Prices are pants-on-head stupid out here, assuming there's anything available in the first place. (I damn near set fire to the last city I searched in on Monday out of sheer goddamn spite, but I lacked the combustible materials or the time. Looooong, story, not very interesting.) Oh! And I finally got around to getting pics of them with their new collars and uploading 'em. Here y'go, will be back sometime tomorrow night.

yobbery: Real Women Drink Akvavit: My photobucket is working just fine. What kind of problems did you guize have with it..
I hate the new format. Browsing albums quickly is impossible. The site has is horribly slow, especially when scrolling through albums. The new editor blows goats. Edit and replace doesn't work, and edit and save to a new file works only half the time. I can't customize view settings. Now I'm starting to have issues with uploading. Oh...and the topper is the download album button doesn't work, so I can't move my files in bulk to a new host. Did I mention I hate the new format? :o)
Other than that it's just fine.

Yeah, I gotta agree with some of that. The album scroll is probably the one thing I hate worst about the "new" PB - although if you scroll your mouse wheel up and down while it's loading, for some reason, it gets a hell of a lot faster - at least for me (please note that this little trick does NOT work when you are trying to load an album containing ~ 500 .gifs). And I gave up many years ago on trying to use them to edit pics. Have not yet had any problems with uploading, but I too am looking for a new image host, its only a matter of time...

RadicalEd: Hey Caturday folk! I have some kitty food questions I hope someone might have some good recommendations for.

One - I want to get a bowl for food that helps slow them down eating. One cat scarfs his food, which does result in some untimely piles on the carpet sometimes. Can anyone recommend one? I didn't see many at all when I went searching.

Two - A water bowl. I've been looking at getting one of the auto-water bowls, maybe with a waterfall, or moving water, etc. Does anyone have a brand they prefer? I was reading the reviews on Amazon, and its either they're too hard to take apart, too hard to clear, too big, broke easily, etc, etc. One didn't stand out more than the rest, so I was wondering if people used them here and could give some good feedback.

And Ivan, showing off his belly:

Just got home so I haven't caught up yet, to keep a horse from eating too fast most people will put large rocks in the dish, this makes him have to move them around to get his grain. Maybe you could do the same with your kitty.
I got a cheap wal-mart water fountain to see if it would keep Tommy happy. It does not. He has taken it apart, tipped it over, and very rarely drinks from it. Now I know not to spend big money on a fountain for my cat.

Thanks everyone for the water bowl recommendations! I'll make sure to check them out and then decide - since I only have the two little jerks, it's a little hard to spend a lot of money on a fancy bowl when we could just have a regular bowl. They're in the other bathroom, so it tends to be an out of sight, out of mind problem of cleaning their bowl, so something that moves and refreshes would be ideal (we get to it about once a week, which it seems most of these water bowls need a weekly cleaning). They get plenty of sink and tub water, so it's not like they're drying out. I'm waiting for the day Ivan joins me in the shower, he's starting to enjoy water so much...

In the waiting line:

We got a new kitty. His name is Raven. We adopted him (yay, shelter kitties!) the day after the Ravens won the Super Bowl. Hubby (non-kitty person that he is) said this was The One. And when they said that he was born 6-8 month ago, Hubby figured out to the exact date that dear Raven was born on the first day of Ravens training camp. So here he is, and he is TOTALLY Hubby's kitty. I have a sweet picture of Raven on Hubby's shoulder on the way to the vet, but Hubby is not a fan of showing his face on random interwebz pages.

Raven (the sole female ninja from the Oreo Ninja Clowder) approves and sends a headbump, ear sniff, and butt swat.

She takes her name from the way she would sit on my shoulder  when she was tinyand tell me things ...
like Odin's ravens Hugin and Munin (waves at RWDA).

Neither of those names really fit her however, so I asked her how she felt about generic 'Raven'.
She thought it was acceptable...and I SWEAR that it wasn't until a week later that I remembered that 'raven' could be a synonym for 'black'.

I am not speaking to photobucket anymore or I'd post a pic...

Head bumps backatcha.

Raven is a tiny talker. And he too loves to perch on shoulders. We have the darnedest time with him sitting on te back of the recliner. We aren't used to having little ones around, so if we get up too fast for him, he gets launched. Hilarious.

When Fozzie was but a wee pup that happened to him, too!  'Cept pups aren't 'zactly known for their ability to land on all fours.  I am now veeeeery careful!

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7Kr0hEJGKoI&feature=youtu.be

This is true.
See this demonstrated quite frequently at my group home...guys/staff will be talking with each other, then for whatever reason Raven will be included in the conversation...and the voice CHANGES.
Usually a higher pitch, softening of both volume and tone, some loss of clarity of speech in exchange for 'cute', 'sweet' or expressing general approval of Raven.  Depending upon the speaker, there may be unintelligible sounds (aka 'babytalk') to which Raven responds the same way as she would to a more articulated request of "C'mere, sweetie...I want to pet you".

Interesting note:  an insertion or eruption of 'cat talk' will frequently rachet down any tension that may be building in the room from discord/disharmony between 2 or more of those present.
Won't always prevent stuff, but it does tend to de-escalate the situation for the most part.

It is not easy to describe this analytically...but you've all heard it, and y'all know it when you do.

WARNING:  Here be ranting...
I am very grateful for this phenomenon, and that Raven is permitted to come to work with me to invoke it, because there are times that I am convinced I work with either idiots, stupid idiots, passive-aggressive idiots, malicious idiots, or just people who are too self-involved to give a flying BFD about anything that does not directly and immediately concern themselves.
Raven, and the ability to have her there with me has been a gift beyond price.

If I hear the phrase "It's not my job to _________ (fill in the blank)"  One. More. Time. I honestly don't know how I'll react.
Right at the moment, I feel that my job description is'D.S.E. (Designated Somebody Else)...you know, the one whose job/problem/responsibility it IS.

Normally and for the most part, I like my job...but sometimes (ominous music)...
Guess I just wish that some of my co-workers would behave as though they liked their jobs too.

Real Women Drink Akvavit: My photobucket is working just fine. What kind of problems did you guize have with it? I don't like the new format and hate that they made us switch before they were done with it (seriously? using us as beta testers for an only semi-functional site we were forced into using? BASTARDS!), but I've been using it the whole time.

RadicalEd: ...I have some kitty food questions I hope someone might have some good recommendations for.
One - I want to get a bowl for food that helps slow them down eating. One cat scarfs his food, which does result in some untimely piles on the carpet sometimes. Can anyone recommend one? I didn't see many at all when I went searching.

As others have probably said by now (I'm still playing catch up) you can put something like a golf ball in the bowl (dry food only, obviously) but since I have had this same problem with my vomit kitty Dragon in the past, you might have to resort to just taking the bowl away for a couple of minutes at a time (wet food). I never had any luck trying different shaped bowls, YMMV.

I have had many makes and models over the years, and the cats seem to like the Drinkwell brand best. And so do I - they seem to last forever (my ex still has the first one we ever bought, gotta be ~14 years old), and disassemble rather easily, although if you have hard water (as I do) they can be a biatch to clean if you do not have a dishwasher. If you don't, you will need a bottle brush and don't forget to OPEN and clean the motor (protip #1 - using bottled spring water will prevent that; protip #2 - order replacement filters from Amazon, you will save a ton of $$) . JMHO, and keep in mind that some cats will never get used to the idea....
/meanwhile, i seem to running off at the mouth this evening

I was walking between my grandma's house in Kirstiansand and a guy's house I had made friends with the previous summer (his English was nearly perfect!) when two ravens swooped right past me - one on each side of me - and then perched on a tree right next to his house, making a hell of a racket. Ravens going past me while I'm in Norway, getting ready to plot shenanigans with a local and his friends? And the Ravens are "talking"? Whaaaa? AWESOME! Well, let's just say I was very excited. Told the dude as soon as he answered the door "Dude! DUUUUDE!!! Two ravens just went by me and are hanging out right by your house! How cool is that?!" He looked at me like I was insane. Some Norwegian he is. (of course, he probably saw them all the time...)

It also sounds different; less of a revving noise more of a winding up sound..

Yeah...It revs high at first from a dead stop, then as you pick up speed the rpms drop??? It's counter-intuitive but in reality it's extremely efficient. I can get my Murano up to ~22mpg/city if I just go light on the pedal. It's advertised at 18/city.

They're really simple too...This is just about all there is to a cvt.

Tape it to it's neighbor(s).  That is what the doc will do as long as it isn't dislocated.  If it is dislocated, he will put it back into alignment, then tape it to it's neighbor(s).

As long as your neighbor doesn't mind and you like him or her!

That or he may tape her two big toes together.

I would go to a dr. to see if it's broken. I've broken toes before and they are pretty easy to deal with. (tape two together) but a big toe harder to deal with and the bones might have to be set if they are broken. Also the circulation could be screwed up and that could cause problems.
I'm not a medical person I only know what I've been thru although I do have a degree in archaeology so if the bones are old enough I could tell you the problem.

I got another visit from Lindsay yesterday.  It was my job to pick her up from the vet (and pay) after her spay surgery.  She seems to be recovering well (since she did nothing but climb on me for the hour I sat with her in the bathroom.

This was Kay's view:

i445.photobucket.com

When she arrived, she reached through the bars of her carrier to him.  It was the most adorable thing I've ever seen.  He came up and sniffed her nose, and then hissed at her.  Then I took her up to the bathroom to wait for her human mom to come get her.

Kay was ...  displeased ... with her presence, and growled and hissed at her under the door until I came out.  She growled back.  She's a tough little squirt.  When it was time for her to go, she sneaked out the door and tried to trot up to him.  I made the mistake of trying to catch him before he could attack, and got a bit of a scratch on my hand, but Lindsay was fine.  I think she'd like to be friends with him, but he's a mean old grump.

I know all about dog drool and smaller animals. A friend of mine used to have Great Danes. Her Dad was really into showing and breeding them. Their black female was a triple champion (whatever that means) and that particular female goggie had very strong maternal instincts. She'd pick up any smaller animal she came across, even if it was on a leash. We were at a dog show and suddenly heard my friend's dad yelling "drop it!" at the poor dog, and we heard some lady screaming. We looked over just in time to see the Dane slowly open her mouth and what appeared to be a very wet long haired rat, which turned out to be a chihuaha, just kind of rolled out and landed all catlike on its feet. My friend and I got in trouble for laughing, he paid for a new show groom for the rat chihuahua and was told to control his dog.

She didn't do that kind of thing in the ring from what I was told. Too bad. That would have made us laugh even harder. "I'll get that for you, Mrs Doggie Judger!"

Almost a re-enactment of the event.

L.D. Ablo: John Buck 41: Well, I told you folks that we were going car-shopping on Tuesday. Went to our bank. They wouldn't do a thing for us til we came back with a vehicle we had picked out. I told them I wasn't thrilled about spending all day kicking tires and then getting turned down for a loan. So we left and went to a local Toyota dealership. Cut to the chase---we ended up driving away with a 2013 Toyota Corolla w/0% financing. We got a modest break because I work for a Toyota supplier and also saved some $$ by choosing a 5 speed manual in lieu of an automatic transmission.

First NEW car I bought since 1988.

Excellent choice; one of the best cars out there.  I almost got one a few years back, but picked up a tC instead.  I didn't need four doors and love hatches.  Coming up on 110k and I've only had to replace the battery, wiper blades and tires.  The clutch and gearbox are fine, too.  It won't let you down.

Back to the important stuff!

Here's Birdie getting comfy:

And Vince in the sink:

This has become a minor problem.  Vince gets into the sink whenever I'm on the can and won't get out.  (No, I am not going to turn on the water.)  So I have to go to the kitchen to wash up.

Maybe he wants you to turn on the water.  My cat loves watching me use the sink.  He gets in afterwards to inspect the magical source of water.

CrankyAndi: The snake thing last night really freaked me out.  I didn't fall back to sleep for 2 hours.  I had at least enough 'sense' to get some photos.

No snake in window this morning.

That would definitely freak me out as well. As far as sleeping, I would probably have fixed a pot of tea and turned on the tv because sleep would be out of the question.
It does remind me of the time my family went to Florida to visit my cousins. My mother looked out the window and saw a lizard running up the screen and she freaked of course me being a child thought it was pretty neat. If my mother had spotted a snake at the window or anywhere she would have had Dad packing up the car and heading for home before she got done screaming.

I think snakes are cool. When they are outside, catching mice or rats. Inside, uncaged? FTS

Hi guys! I can't believe the week is finally over!!!!

i211.photobucket.com

I'll be off to catch up where I left off, but I wanted to share this first.
I had my performance review today. It turned out to be a great review...waaaaay better than I thought it would go. However, the comment our CIO made on the very first evaluation item had me thinking it might not be going well.

I have pasted an excerpt below. Only the names have been changed to protect the innocent.

"Yobbery has taken ownership for the wireless project at Mordor.  He is directing his staff appropriately to ensure that tasks are completed appropriately.  Yobbery shares his expertise and has proven to be an asses to the wireless team as well as Mordor."

I used to be able to do this. I afraid if I tried it now I'd end up with my shin bones protruding from my abdomen.

[i211.photobucket.com image 149x180]

Oddly enough, "surfing" down stairs is a commonly recurring element in my dreams.
Another recurring element is like from one of the "Back To the Future" movies where it's like I'm
riding a hoverboard,, but without the hoverboard. Just get up to speed and lift my feet, and I'm off!

I've often wondered what significance they portray.

And a cat...

tigerose: While it is possible to ski down the stairs on your shin and calf,I do not recommend it. It hurts. And then you have to sit with ice, and it is too cold out there for that! Brrr!

Hi Yobbery! How are you doing this week????

Stressed...We're in the midst of a hectic six month project at work.
We were given two months to do it.

/Scary part is that it looks like we're going to pull it off!
