As a Bulls fan I have to admit the Pacers are a scary good team and the Heat should not just assume the Eastern Conference will be a cake walk.

All the stories last night and we get a third-quarter update from a game that wasn't close the next day. Nice.

Technically, it wasn't close last night either.

The Heat should already know that what with playing them last year in the playoffs. It was a nice series to watch, albeit in the short bits I was able to catch. Missing Bosh hurt, but LeBron was able to carry the team. Wade was, as ever, a dirty little expletive of choice.

I think the Pacers' biggest strength is their lack of a single superstar player. To beat them you have to actually play (especially defense) as a team. Locking down one or two players might disturb but won't disrupt their offensive flow since they don't count on just one superstar to score the lion's share of points. Then you get nights where everyone is clicking on both ends of the court, so it doesn't matter what you do it'll be a blowout.

Saw this on the twitter last night.  Keep in mind the second one is the official Pacers twitter account:

@ZachLowe_NBA: Caught up in the trade deadline....so, umm, what the hell happened to the Knicks tonight? Yeesh.

@Pacers:   @ZachLowe_NBA: They Lost

I lol'd

Yup. I liked when the Nets' PR account put out that they're 32-0 when they outscore their opponents this season, too.

If the Pacers can get it all together this year with Granger back, they could be scary. I'd love a Pacers-Heat ECF, with either one of those teams playing the Knicks in the second round.

You mean REAL basketball? In the NBA!? Craziness.

Sadly, with Indiana University (#1), Butler (#15) and Notre Dame (#25) most Hoosiers don't give a shiat about the Pacers right. This state is the home of highschool and college hoops.

Butler should be ranked higher.  And high school basketball died when it went to Class basketball.
