I'm gonna go against the grain here and just thank the ladies for wearing makeup. No matter how good you may look without it, you look much better with properly applied makeup.

I'm glad I've mostly been involved with black women. I've hardly met any who bother with makeup. Although I'm sure those time savings are overridden by their weekly hair torture sessions.

Fark it, sometimes you just have to go extreme just to do it.

Other than for a small handful of jobs that require it, I don't get why women complain about makeup and uncomfortable shoes. No one (except the very few previously mentioned jobs) is forcing them to wear them. It's a choice.

I've gotta disagree.  I much prefer a girl without any makeup at all.  Imperfections are what make us "Real", trying to hide them just comes across as either dishonest or as a lack of self-esteem.  Be proud of who you are, don't try to hide it; it's WAY more attractive.

And you're welcome. I think almost every woman looks better with a bit of makeup. So many just have trouble with that "properly applied" part.

I know that's a subjective term, but hey, you can't please everyone.  I feel more confident when I think I look better. Nothing wrong with that.

Incidentally, ten seconds of maths says TFA is total bullshiat.

The average woman in the UK lives to 81.68 years of age. Even if you assume she applies makeup every day from the age of ten and never misses a day, that's 71.68 years of makeup use, at 365.25 days per year.

TFA claims 474 days applying makeup (average, mind you, which means half the female population spends MORE days on this task). So that's 474 out of 26181.12 days. That is 1.81% of every day of their entire life from their tenth birthday, without missing a single day.

Which means it is 0.43 hours of every day, or 26 minutes every day, from the age of ten to the age of 81.68 years.

Which is quite clearly total bullshiat. In the real world, they're claiming probably more like an hour or more for each makeup application, by the time you account for the fact that they don't start on a daily basis from ten years old, dont do it to the day they die, don't do it every day of their adult lives without fail, and don't spend the same time on it when they're 70 and crippled by arthritis in an old folks home that they did when they were 20 and out for a night on the pull.

I know it's the Sun, but seriously... Even for the Sun, what complete and utter moronic drivel.

When she calls you and asks when you are leaving the bar and coming home, tell her, "In 15 minutes.  The same 15 minutes you tell me when you are putting on your makeup."

Hmm when I see a lady or guy with acne I usually think "damn that looks painful" and I don't really associate it with with beauty much. 'Course a big deep face mountain looks rather strange when it is covered in layers of makeup.
I'd imagine that wearing make up for a good percentage of your life can't be too healthy for the skin, even if it was some hydroxinatingaloeseacumbumber creme.

Make up can look pretty nice on some people, but in general it needs to be learned that not all applications work the same for everyone. Some tend to chose less than flattering ways to apply it and look like a kid that bought a package of walmart sharpies and finger paints.

I love it when pretty girls don't wear makeup. I have no opinion on butt-ugly girls

Only seen Mrs LibCon wear makeup once and that was our wedding day.

My wife never wears make up. Which is awesome.

She also gets hit on by lesbians a lot. Which is awesome. Sort of.

That is one thing I loved about college....after the first few classes girls would generally say fark it and come to class without make up in sweatpants with their hair up......

She's a completely average looking girl that cleans up remarkably well. I don't think I've seen anyone benefit from makeup more.

My favorite lipstick is more of a lipstain. Imagine, 6am, eyes barely awake, no coffee yet, and you want to color inside the lines and not stain your face stupidly, not quite sharpie-stained, but bad enough. Close only counts in horseshoes and hand grenades, not sharpie or lip color. I would totally use sharpie-strength stain for eyeliner, if the ink looked more light/natural and I thought I could draw well enough on a regular basis... I don't trust tattoos anywhere on the face. 

You may leave the corner, I appreciate your 'don't have to mess with it for days' sharpie idea... even if that isn't how you meant it.

They'll come up with that you're lazy/frump/lesbo/loser/nerd/depressed/backwards/unfriendly/weird etc. Wear make up all the time and then the time you don't, people ask questions like "Is something wrong? You look sick." You grow up with the image that proper grown up women wear heels, nylons, skirts, make-up, and jewelry and that those are the marks of being feminine and likeable. So there's women who think they have to do it because it's expected and if they don't, it means something is wrong with them, even though they don't like it.

It's a choice, yes, one can choose to wear hiking boots and a hoodie because they're comfortable. But don't expect to be treated as well as the woman in full make-up and the perfect ladylike outfit.

And many women enjoy getting all gussied up, which leads people to believe all girls enjoy it and if you don't you must fall into one of the aforementioned categories.

I tend to favor women that take a minimalist approach to makeup, I generally regard them as more genuine.

I always wonder what it would be like if evolution went a slightly different way and women ended up with facial hair and the societal expectation that they shave daily. I don't think makeup would even have been invented yet, every issue of Cosmo would be almost entirely shaving stories. "Top 10 aftershaves reviewed inside!" "Shaving horror stories! - I cut myself 10 minutes before my date!" "Which razors do celebs use!?"

I remember the classic blurbs released to radio stations.. That iphone owners had more sex than droid owners.  Good advertisment and the local radio station did a good job of talking about it as if it wasnt a paid ad.

One of my favorite compliments that I've ever received was that I never try to put on a show for anyone and instead just be myself without worry.
