Right? The guy's name isn't even Joe!

As long as the people responsible have been sacked, I'm ok with this.

Like the Price Is Right showcase that included a trip to New Orleans and a new ski boat -- 3 months after Katrina.

It is a better choice than Bon Jovi's "Shot Through The Door".

/That's not the title, Weasel!

I don't see why it's so offensive.

He was missing his legs, not his arms, so the line "where you goin' with that gun in your hand" didn't make light of his handicap in the slightest.

2013-02-20 09:58:43 PM
"Hey Man Nice Shot" also not a good idea.

Bill_Wick's_Friend: "Hey Man Nice Shot" also not a good idea.

So the uninterrupted block of music featuring Hey Joe, Hey Man Nice Shot, Down By The River, Delia's Gone, and Shot In The Dark was a bad idea?

2013-02-20 10:03:10 PM
I don't see the problem. "Hey Joe" is a classic piece of music. And who's this Pistoriusguy? Why should I care?

2013-02-20 10:03:39 PM
I wondered why they didn't play my request of "Used To Love Her" by Guns n' Roses.

Similar thing happened with a local radio station the day after Sandy Hook. Shooter's Pistol Range commercial ran, "So come out, it's fun for the whole family!" Haven't heard it since.

/local as in ' broadcasts out of Danbury, CT and is well within Newtown range'

"Jamie's Got a Gun"
"Hit Me With Your Best Shot"
And "Happiness Is a Warm Gun" also not recommended.

At least it wasn't Weird Al's version.

Wimps. It was probably an unintended connection. I'm sure they don't check their play list against every news story to check for "conflicts".
If they do, they're even more sissified than I thought on that big island.

IMONTYPYTHON.

holy crap that was way too much work for some  retarded awfully handicapped joke. I just, I mean, I.... my place now wreaks of that awful basement dank, damp coldness I only recall from my childhood in PA. To actually have to dwell there as an adult and have nothing better to contribute than, well, this, don't get me wrong, I'm kind of a nerd myself, but I just, I mean, that, ...um,...

You know what? screw it. GET YOUR PASTY ASS OUTSIDE AND BE AMONG REAL PEOPLE! I know it's hard but seriously, GO THE FARK OUTSIDE!

Wait, you don't want everyone involved sacked, castrated, and thrown to the lions?

Yesterday I heard my local HD2 station play the following tracks in this order:

1) "How Will I Know?" by Whitney Houston

2) "Brown Sugar" by the Rolling Stones

Coincidence? Maybe--but if you know these songs then you know that's a pretty distasteful pairing.

Well she does have legs.  However, she evidently didn't know how to use them.

I'm thinking the music director his a very British sense of humor. John Cleese and crew would have been far more snarky. I'm okay with this.

Guns N' Roses: "I used to love her, but I had to kill her."

That probably would have been worse. Or better.

Definitely better.

Does my heart good to realize that I'm not the last black hearted bastard in town.
I laughed like an idiot - no apologies - not laughing at the dead - laughing at the stupid.

I can imagine half way through the song with the DJ sitting there with his facepalm, wondering how fast he'll be sacked.
god that's funny.

Nothing beats "Rock You Like a Hurricane" at the Miami/LSU game after Katrina. The difference being they play that at like every game cause they're the damn Miami Hurricanes. When people complained they should have followed it up with "When the Levy Breaks" by Zep.

Ruby was about a horribly disabled impotent Vietnam vet who was loosing his wife because she needed to get it on!
