FTA: "Williams said he practices Pastafarianism. Pastafarianism, or the Church of the Flying Spaghettic Monster, is a movement opposing teaching in schools of intelligent design and creationism. Reached by phone on Wednesday, Williams said he is serious about the movement."

WTF is that picture illustrating the article? The editor couldn't GIS "pasta strainer" or the like?

Everything was going well until that damn Pastacent Reformation.   The heretical bastards stripped the gluten from the whole wheat sacrament and now we've got a bunch of noodle heads who think soy is salvation.

It's kind of important to have one.

Pastafarians are not opposed to the teaching of creationism/I.D. in schools.  In fact, we encourage it.  We wish our beliefs to be given equal time, that's all.

I don't want to start the same stupid debate from last week, but in New Jersey, they call it a Driver License, and not a Driver's License.  Your state may be different, but in California and New Jersey, it is singular and not possessive.

Oh? So, is not supposed to be funny? Sometimes that happens to me; something will be completely serious and I'll think that it's funny.

Example: the movie "Shoot 'em Up". Serious movie, right? I laughed so much that I almost coughed up a lung. The movie was just so ridiculous; as is pastafarianisum, I guess I just figured it was supposed to be funny.

1) It's serious now?  When did that happen?  Surely not when a couple of people decided to troll the DMV for sh*ts and grins.  (Maybe they were serious, but I don't see that impacting the "movement" as a whole.)
2) No!  NNNNNOOOOO!!!!!  NOT RELENTLESS MOCKED!  AAAAAHHHHH!!!!!

However, now I have to take the time to read the article, and see if that's really what the news item was about.

This is not a serious thing.  A serious thing would be if the pastafarians wanted to build a church and sued to get tax exempt status.

I'd feel terribly.  Wait...does dyslexia affect suffix placement?  Ah, f*ck it, I'd still feel bad.

(Been cursing the auto-correct quite a bit myself lately, as a matter of fact.)
