Revek: What about the monkey?
Snarfangel: Sadly, dynamite monkeys are a vanishing species. People keep encroaching into the natural rock quarries they inhabit. Or taunting them, of course.
Fark Rye For Many Whores: Ok so this suggests this is where Burnaby is
oldfarthenry: Back in MY day you could mosey on down to the general store and buy a few sticks of dynamite along with your cigars, crackers and molasses. One time I got chin-wagging with old-man Johnson and lit what I thought was a Producto Corona. I was pretty red in the face after the explosion (which you couldn't see as I was covered in black-sugar & saltines). Those were good times.
SpdrJay: My lease only specified Happy Fun Ball.
Maud Dib: Old dynamite can be pretty unstable stuff, mind you.[1.bp.blogspot.com image 850x665]
elkraf: But I thought there were laws about guns in Canada. How criminals have guns if there are laws against it?
Bill_Wick's_Friend: elkraf: But I thought there were laws about guns in Canada. How criminals have guns if there are laws against it?The kind of criminals who can afford an apartment full of cocaine have guns, just like they do in the USA.The loser who holds up gas stations, convenience stores or liquor stores, on the other hand, does not usually have a pistol the way he does in the USA because black market handguns are too expensive for the average loser criminal. With no built-in domestic handgun owners to steal from, pistols have to be smuggled over the border which is risky and which jacks up the price of a black market gun 5X-10X.The result is that high level gangsters tend to kill each other just like they do in the USA but that there is much MUCH less blood being spilled the way there is in our southern neighbours' houses and businesses and streets every day.Lots and lots of random death must be worth it to you guys because, y'know, "freedom". Me? Glad to live in this horrible unfree dictatorship where the right to dodge bullets isn't enshrined as a god given gift.
Big_Fat_Liar: I could set your stereotype straight
