Having lived in Aurora for about 12 years before I finally escaped, I can honestly say that the rash of crazy psychos in the city lately come as no surprise to me.  Also, I find it interesting that they are coming from the "good" and rehabilitated neighborhoods (like Fitz and over near the AFB) rather than "in the hood" like along Mississippi and Havana where all of the scary Muslims that led to the town being called "Saudi Aurora" by the stuck up folks along the Front Range call it.

Um, making pipe bombs isn't exactly rocket science here. Get tube, fill tube with something boomy, seal tube and stick a wick in it.

Traditionally, yes. There have been left-leaning shooters, too (Oswald, etc). But when bombmaking was en vogue in the US, it was usually the communists or anarchists bombing conservative institutions.

Then there was Kaczynski, who of all things, was a Luddite.

I considered that possibility.  I occassionally experiment with "sugar" (potassium nitrate+ sucrose) rockets, but have also tried gunpowder versions.  I reckon there's a fair chance that if the fire department or cops found one of my homemade rocket engines they might panic over "pipe bombs" and throw me in the slam.

I generally make sure that I use up all my propellant on the same day I make it, to remove long-term hazards.  Cops would still probably get excited at finding my stash of milled sugar, charcoal and KNO3.

You sound right on the edge. At what point is it after your found out do you figure you will become crazy? Will it be minutes after your busted, posted about on fark or drugged to the drooling state in preparation for trial?

Though the carrying a concealed neck was pretty good one when I finally got it.

Yeah, pretty much this. My boyfriend literally lives across the street from where this happened and he wonders why I always make fun of him for living in the ghetto.
