If we don't offer our lawmakers adequate compensation, we won't be able to attract the best talent to the job.

To be fair the NH house is so large with 400 members that it includes most of the state.

If that's true, it appears we need to offer much much more than we currently do.

The people should be the ones voting on all pay and benefit packages for our elected scumb..., er, rather, legislators.

But the passes would also allow them to bring a friend, so basically all of NH and VT will be skiing for free.

I think the supporters of the access should be outed to their constituents.  Let's see how likely re-election is when people know they're pursuing this crap.

Uh, the vote is whether to end the free passes.

To be fair... there aren't many reasons apart from the White Mountains to live in New Hampshire.  :p

I was curious about that. I always get passed driving in NH, by people with special house plates. And when I say passed, I'm already going 90+

I'm okay with this.

You know you can press F to ski faster and not be eaten, right?

The annual pay for NH legislators is set by law at$100.00.  I don't think a ski pass to a state owned ski area is too much to ask.

I do. Why do they get a free pass? They get gas paid to the legislature, they get their tolls paid for. The $100 is not really a relevant amount anymore.
