After having eaten there recently - I can assure you that they're now officially below McDonald's in quality. They've reached Taco Bell status.

Sounds like they got a Gus in there with a WW producing a higher profit commodity.

Holy hell, the BK down the street from me has $13+ meals.  That's not a price point where I'd be happy with them dropping quality to improve profitability.

I would rather eat at Taco Bell than Burger King. I just went there this weekend. I came home with what I was hoping would be two decent burgers and fries. Damn you, hope. You and your beautiful lies.

There is only one thing and BK that doesn't disappoint me. The availability of cheap paper crowns.

I can back this up, dropped 29 bucks there two nights ago after me and the lady not eating all day... They usually were pretty good but across town but fark it, I won't be doing midnight Taco Bell again. Anyways, the fries rocked... but the burgers, well the Double Up or BaconBomb or Stacker II or whatever it's called didn't even feel like it was in the wrapper. It was dry, the meat was thin and no bigger than silver dollars. There was sauce visible but you couldn't feel it or taste it in your mouth. Look at the lady's double Whopper, buns are big but all I can see is lettuce and sugar, I mean ketchup. Just farking covered in soggy veggies and dripping amounts of various sugar based sauces, ugh. Sure enough falls right in half, cat gets a treat... I pick it up to throw away and I notice the half with just soggy lettuace and sauce is BY FAR thicker than the rest of the burger containing meat and her added cheese & bacon.

The cheese bites were better than KFC's but that's not something to write home about.

Horse is cheaper than beef, and freshest when a store is within about five miles of the track.

Lies!  BK is bottom of the fast food barrel.  I can't think of an establishment that is worse...

KFC ~ Jack in the Box > Wendy's > Carl's Jr. > Mc D's >>>>>>>>  Burger King

Too bad Burger King got bought out by McDonald's yesterday.

Assuming that's just for two people, that's a lot of fast food...( even at $7 or $8 per "meal", I don't think I could scarf all of that down...)

Haaven't had BK in a few years.

This thread makes me sad.

When I was a kid (80s) BK had the best burgers.  Whoppers were the bomb.  Now they are just expensive "Mayo Sandwiches".

Be REALLY concerned if the BK is close to a DOG track.

I really like the regular burger king chicken sandwich but while on a road trip a few days ago I got an order of their chicken tenders and they were downright gross. They were just like knock off McNuggets only soggy on the inside. Really, really bad

While I do enjoy the Whopper, BK's chicken products are just out-and-out nasty. Their idea of "nugget" honestly disgusts me.

Their beef is squeaky, for lack of a better term.  Seems like it's rubber as you chew it and it makes an audible squeak when chewed.

Not sure how you can mess up burgers and fried food so terribly.

This truly saddens me.

I've always been a BK man. I, too, have noticed a dramatic decrease in the food quality recently. I've been going to Wendy's instead.

Damn corporations, and their never ending addiction to increasing short term profits at the expense of everything else!

i love the new soda machine at bk that lets you pick all sorts of drinks and flavors. as a pepper, the ability to get diet dr at a restaurant is rare.

at least here in florida.

been disappointed the last time i had any burger there. same with the regular fries. i've discovered that making my own sweet potato fries is better than any chain restaurant making them.

They have those machines at BK and at Wendy's as well.  Though at the Wendy's I frequent the Coke is always empty (on both machines).  Don't think the syrup canisters are very big.

When were they ever really above McDonalds.  Burger King has always been crap.

I never realized there were so many Burger King haters.  It's one of my favorite fast food burgers.

I worked at a Burger King on my college campus until fairly recently. We would "change" the oil from the fryers a few times a week by discarding the oil from one fryer and putting the old oil from the other fryer into the now empty one. A lot of the time, the oil we were using was completely black after "changing" it. My coworkers and I knew it was gross, but we didn't have the authority to change how things like that were done.

Another problem we had was that on Mondays our genius manager had scheduled a worker who was slightly autistic to open. He slowed us down to the point that we couldn't prepare everything we were supposed to before opening, so our manager had another restaurant slice our tomatoes for us on Sundays. Unfortunately, over Thanksgiving break they decided to slice our tomatoes about 4 days ahead of time. We were only supposed to keep them for 2 days at most. Needless to say, they were pretty disgusting, but we didn't have time to cut fresh ones, so our manager had us use them.

//don't eat at burger king.

Incidentally I had BK tonight. Whopper. I looked at it and went "WTF? When did a whopper get to be so sad?". The patty was like wafer thin and gray.

Sigh. And Wendy's got rid of their Bacon Deluxe (Baconator is disgusting), McDonalds tastes like dogfood... there's no good fast food left here.

I always loved the stacker. I've noticed the amount of sauce has been decreasing over time. Last time I got one it had A single 2 inch strip of bacon and the sauce didn't even cover a 3rd of the burger. I'm getting to the point of never going back.

Iunno, I really miss the "BK Broiler."

McDonald's nuggets are the only ones that even resemble chicken nowadays, which is strange since they used to be the most questionable of the lot.  I don't know what Wendy's and BK have done, but that paste product they call chicken is some vile shiat.

I use to buy whoppers all the time during high school (late 90's) when they only cost a dollar. Stopped going there for a long time. Came back when whopper jr's were a buck. Stopped going there for a long time. Their chicken sandwiches always tasted funny to me but I love that they have onion rings. They are over priced for fast food no meal combo on their menu should exceed the current minimum.wage hourly rate.

Ate there for the first time in a year recently.  Food has really gone downhill.  Got the worst heartburn that would NOT go away.

Their new food quality and cost cutting objectives are very palpable.
