one of the reasons (other than tax breaks and lower manufacturing costs) that prompted so many companies to move their manufacturing plants to china was due to the non-existence of any chinese environmental protection laws.  you can pretty much dump whatever you want straight into the ground water over there, no problem.  I think the only restriction is that it cant actually be on fire at the time you dump it.  other than that, pump whatever poison you want into the local water supply and have at it.

I ain't falling for that one, I just saw the Korean film "The Host" so I know what a squid-like super mutant critter that's hopped up on formaldehyde can do to a person.
