Those few matters you articulated within what was entrusted to the federal executive betrayed a radical departure from the Founder's vision.

Which one?

That was a lot of whining butthurt.

I mean, really.... it's non-specific complaint after non-specific complaint about issues not related to the Constitution, followed up by "thanks, Obama."

This area man seems to be a passionate defender of what he believes the Constitution to be.

We should thank him for his service to America.

Mentat: Where is the actual constitutional violation in that screed?

It's obvious that President Obama violated Article II, Section 3, Clause 1:

"The President shall be of the majority race of the United States and come from the landed gentry"

Furthermore, violated Article II, Section 4, Clause 7:

"He shall not promote the well being of the non-landed gentry nor levy taxes or threaten to levy taxes on the landed gentry"

Sir, where were you when Republicans declared that anyone who is not with the president is a terrorist and unpatriotic? Where were you when we had calls of secession because the president won a simple election fairly? Where were you when the radicals in this government, of which I imagine you're quite close with, chose to bastardize the deaths of 3000 American civilian lives by instituting some of the grossest violations of our rights as citizens and orchestrated invasions of two countries?

Answer me that, or wise derpmister and maybe we'll agree with you in principle. If you cannot agree that those things happened and that you stood idly by without speaking out, then you should clam up and not speak about "gross violations of our constitution" of which you hold so dear.

You should be ashamed of yourself for writing such drek.  Youand your kind are what's wrong with this country. You biatch and moan about perceived violations of civil liberties and the dissolution of our government when you provide no real evidence to back up your claims. You are nothing more than a whining little monkey and as such, should sit in the corner with the rest of the flea bitten vermin you rode in with.

Up yours, author

Poor kids. They'll be really weird and awkward  and they won't be able to help it. Fingers crossed they rebel.

Think he genuinely doesn't realize that the state of the union calls for things that require congressional support all the time?  I would suspect he knows and is just trollin', but hard to tell sometimes.

Also... what's up with that site's font, and why would it think that the browser default is too small for a block of prose text?  I'm not really seeing the formatting issue that's addressing, and in the meantime it's about one glitter GIF from being a geocities site from 1998.

Let's see...

Did Obama rescind the Patriot Act when he had the votes to do so?  Nope.
Did he close Gitmo?  Nope
Did he go after more medical marijuana clinics than Bush?  Yep
Did he use military force in Libya without Congressional Authorization?  Yep
Did he attempt to create a legal justification for using drone attacks against American citizens without due process?  Yep

Ironically, liberals that defend Obama despite these things are much like neocons defending Bush.  The bottom line is that your guy is no better...and yes, both sides suck.  Congress has totally abandoned their duty to be one of the checks and balances on the Presidency (again, both sides are guilty).   Most of you are too busy waving a flag for your party to stand up and complain when your guy is wrong.  You could argue that Romney would have been no better...but that only further illustrates the total failure of the two-party system.  Two sides of the same coin...and both sides want to expand the power of the government at the expense of individual liberty.

You'll note that while this guy listed several examples of unconstitutional actions, he was not able to once articulate HOW or WHY they were unconstitutional.

BILL FLAX

From TFA:
I am a Christian, a patriot and a defender of liberty who tries to keep a sense of humor through the madness. I live in Cincinnati, Ohio and work in the banking industry. I'm blessed with a beautiful wife who homeschools our three children. It has become evident Washington now embodies the gravest threat to freedom. We must restore the vision of the founders before it is too late. This prompted me to begin writing. In addition to Forbes, my work has appeared on American Thinker, RealClearReligion and elsewhere. I'm also a contributing writer for The Cornwall Alliance for the Stewardship of Creation. My book, The Courage to do Nothing, will likely be the most politically incorrect take you'll ever read on economics. Please contact at billflax2[nospam-﹫-backwards]oohay*com.

No need to ever read this guy again.  You can predict exactly what he'll say about everything.

I cannot help but feel the author of that screed was wearing women's underwear, stockings and high heels as he typed. Not that there's anything wrong with that but the whole thing just seemed like arguments I have with my wife: "What did I do?" "You know what you did." "No I don't!" "Well if you don't know I'm not going to tell you."

...but your desire to push women into combat seem more about repudiating America's heritage than buttressing her military.

You know, there's something subtle going on here when he objects to women in combat but then uses the feminine pronoun for America itself.

So vote Republican?

Did he close Gitmo?  Nope

Did Congress pass a law that requires Congressional approval before he can do that? Yep. It's a funny kind of complaint to list this in a complaint about Obama not following the law.

Did he go after more medical marijuana clinics than Bush?  Yep

OK, that's one.

Did he use military force in Libya without Congressional Authorization?  Yep

You worded that very carefully, because you know that there was nothing illegal about it. In fact, the War Powers Act explicitly states he does not need Congressional Authorization.

Did he attempt to create a legal justification for using drone attacks against American citizens without due process?  Yep

Kind of like the legal justification for using a sniper rifle against American citizens without due process? Yep.

Care to provide any citations for your assertions? The basic history of the Act on Wikipedia includes exactly one mention of "Biden", and not as a writer's credit.
