Feminists are killing feminism. Seriously, they are like black f*cking holes of need. I am a pro-choice, pro-equality, liberal, and it's never enough. I'm still labeled a sexist because I don't buy that women are at a net disadvantage in life. My feminist friends post these angry tirades on facebook about how men all have a responsibility to recognize that we are privileged and have everything handed to us because most Fortune 500 CEOs are men. Don't bother pointing out that it's not fair to judge "men" by only paying attention to the ones at the top, and that it's also true that most homeless people are men. If you say anything other than "Yes, you're right. I'll shut up now and add nothing to it," to a feminist, she can't farking handle a debate, flips shiat, and calls you a misogynist. And then you have to put up with the army of white knight fawning sycophantic loser beta males that show up and agree with her, hoping she'll have sex with them.

So in summary, if a massive culture movement springs up in this country that has more girls becoming more girly, I'm for it.

TeddyRooseveltsMustache: Rihanna isn't the new anything. Everything she's done has been done by someone else. Making music? Janet Jackson did it. Dating another pop star? Whitney Houston did it. Getting her ass beat by said other pop star? Tina Turner did it. Like I said, not the new anything.

Rihanna just seems to me like one of the biggest wastes of potential I've seen in the music industry. I mean, she has an amazing, beautiful voice, and if she wanted, she could give every legendary power-note belter in the business a serious run for their money. She could hang with the likes of Adele and Kelly Clarkson and Jennifer Hudson if she wanted to.

But she doesn't want to. She's content to churn out disposable dance track after disposable dance track and never put out anything that's going to actually stand the test of time. It's frustrating to watch.

So basically, she's ordering women to stop acting like the kind of women they want to be and to conform to her idea of what a woman should be.

How ironic.

I don't get why Rhianna is so popular. She's got a fugly face, and she keeps going back to her abuser, which makes her a loser...... IMO.
The one thing she does have is a killer bod. But that's not enough.

Marshal805: What does feminism even mean anymore?

Means having basically the same beliefs that 99% of everyone else does (the 1% being mostly GOP senators, apparently), but being an  insufferable douche  about it and suffering the strange delusion that you're alone in your actually-damned-near-universal opinions.

It's sort of like being an abolitionist, and going around making militant anti-slavery rants at everyone you meet on the assumption that since they haven't brought it up they must be entirely pro-slavery.

//Or, in other words, it's yet another way for  insultingly  ordinary and boring people to fantasize that they're actually special and unique.  Twilight for the college-aged, more or less.

I agree with the article linked below to a certain degree.  Millennial women are burning out FAST in the workplace (thus not reaching the higher levels).  Except the author's rationale (men take more breaks), seems a little unrealistic.  It's more likely that women pair unrealistic expectations (my boss expects me to do what?  and work OVERTIME?!) with extreme self-entitlement (I DESERVE a promotion/recognition/extra pay).  Welcome to the real world, ladies.

Can't imagine if women actually got into hard labor/high likelihood of death or extreme reduction of life expectancy professions like mining, drilling, construction, etc how they'd feel about how "lazy" men are these days.

Killer Cars: Ms Paglia said Rihanna's self-released shots - many of which were published to millions of fans on her Twitter feed -  have a 'genuinely artistic atmospheric eroticism' the like of which has 'not been seen in decades.'

Holy jumping horsecock, that sentence is an appallingly haughty pile of steaming hippo sh*t.

I think Ms Paglia has some repressed sadomasochism going on or something.
