I'm just gonna say that's ingenious, between the smartphone and upcoming self driving cars it will mean a lot more independence for future people with sight issues.

If SatNav for blind people is anything like the SatNav for vehicles, the blind people will end up in a WalMart parking lot trying to find their way out. Except for those who fall into lakes, of course.

It is a very bad idea to surrender control of your vehicle to a glorified Google map.

It is a very bad idea to give old people another tech distraction.

It's safer to stick to the old-fashioned system of Mom trying to read a map and give directions while Dad swears like a sailor.
