I know that Obama is worse than Hitler plus Pol Pot times Stalin squared times Tamerlane with a Time Machine but I'm not sure if there are supposed to be parentheses in there somewhere

Fu*king Iraq.

Dammit McCain, you of ALL people should know that squandering human lives such as in Vietnam and Iraq is bording close to insanity. Did you not take your meds for dramatic effect? Not revealing to American people (and therefore the world, dammit, they get CNN  in other countries) absolutely every detail in not tantamount to a coverup. In a war, hell even in a skirmish, you never reveal everything, especially to your enemies. And the way the people with the (R) behind their names react... might as well treat them like the enemy, they are looking for any way they can to stop Obama, to blame Obama, to make it seem like the only way he can be stopped is through all that ammo your crazy followers keep stockpiling.

We want to know why the president alleged to Mitt Romney in the debate that he had called it a terrorist attack when he hadn't

Oh you!

2013-02-18 08:34:54 AM
What's the farking difference what you call it? The word "terrorism" has no meaning anymore anyway, since every act of violence ever committed anywhere is called "terrorism" now.

fta: Well, I don't know the answer to that question. I do know that there are so many answers we don't know. For example, what did the president do the night of the attack? We know that-- well the-- well, the secretary of defense and the cha-- chairman of joint chiefs of staff on-- another issue and then never talked to them again.

It's like listening to Porky Pig with ALS. Sad but kinda funny too.

Get in the box, old man.

Shut the lid. Nail yourself in from the inside.

You are well past your best before date and slipping fast.

Negative. They still need to attract the votes of roughly one-third of the Democrats in the House for a successful impeachment, and barring some massively shocking revelation they won't get it.

"Can we we wear silk stockings and ruffled lace neckerchiefs?"
"Absolutely!"
"Long, curly powdered wigs?"

"How about satin ladies underwear underneath?"
"uhh..."
"Yeth! Count me in!"

No, but they can start impeachment proceedings with what they've got, can't they?

Not having the votes in advance sure as f*ck didn't stop them with clinton.

They only need a simple majority in the House to impeach, they need 2/3 to convict in the Senate. But I think they learned their lesson with Clinton - he came out of that more popular than he went in because except to their base it looked too politically motivated. They want to keep it in the news and scream "Scandal! Impeachment worthy! He's black!" without actually doing the actual impeachment.

Pretty shameless yet utterly obvious tactic.  Of course we lament the unnecessary death of our people.  Yet I have not heard one question from these sick farks who are exploiting those deaths to embarrass Obama on how they could have been prevented in the first place.

The questions should be, "What went wrong and how can we prevent it in the future?"  Not, "Who told Susan Rice to say what she did?"

I guess it depends on what you mean by "impeachment proceedings"; one could argue that the hearings they've been holding  are the impeachment proceedings, intended to find out if there's enough wrongdoing to introduce actual articles of impeachment. I still don't think they'd take the next step and introduce articles of impeachment to be voted upon unless they're fairly sure they can win the vote.

The same thing he does every night, Pinky.  Try to take over the world.

Actually, it doesn't matter what the excuse is. The repubs are determined to stop the government, to bring it to a crashing halt. Because if they're not allowed to run the country, nobody's allowed to run the country. This is just one more excuse. There is no issue so pressing the repubs won't try to sabotage it.

"A huge asteroid is hurtling towards earth! We need to take a space shuttle out of mothballs and send a team of drillers there to blow it up!"
"What program will you be taking the money from to accomplish this? I'm going to put a hold on this until we have more answers on Benghazi."

These guys don't actually want to impeach Obama.
He's the best thing that's happened to the NRA, FoxNews, and these guys campaign chests in decades.

I expect that they'll get around to getting rid of him about the same time as they actually get serious about ending abortion.

Been wondering the same thing.  1/2 of the House to impeach seems a bit ridiculous.  I don't think the "founders" thought we'd ever be at a point where an impeachable offense would be "being a member of the opposition party" or "blah."

It's a shame his replacement will be chosen by Arizona voters. I'm sure his replacement will be just a younger bag of wrinkles, fear, and bitterness.

Funny thing is, his opportunism led directly to him being a POW. That's the only way I can figure to explain why he wasn't permanently grounded after crashing his 3rd plane.

John McCain is a vindictive asshole who freely admits filibustering a Cabinet nominee because he thinks the guy is a traitor. Not to America, but to the Republican Party. It's almost like "Party before country" was a complete joke.
