No. But having a felony on your record is an automatic no hire for probably 90% of white collar jobs.  And having your employers names splashed across the screen in a very negative light is a good way to get fire. Assault is the crime that happened here, and in the air it is under federal jurisdiction.  Were it battery, with significant injuries that come along with it, the possible sentence would have been considerably more severe.  The real stitch for him is that you have to serve a minimum of (IIRC) 90% of a federal sentence before being eligible for parole.

This. No way you can rise to an executive position without someone learning about your bigotry. He was fired for leaving his name and his employment history on the same internet that pointed out that time when he got drunk and punched a baby after calling it a horrible name.
