DesertZephyr: I read that book when I was about 9... very good read. Lots of interesting topics for a 9-year old...vengence, wrath, cunning...like TFA says... Strawberry Shortcake, it's not.  Go to Amazon and buy your kid a copy...even if she's 10.


I think I read every Lois Lenski book I could get my hands on when I was a kid. She was one of my favorite childhood authors.
