Yeah, it kinda went in a slightly different direction than I expected. It sounds like she's quite aware of the attention she gets and wants to know how she can use it to serve a goal greater than self-interest.

I am accepting donations for a boob job to draw attention to world hunger, worker's rights and fixing America's education problem.

GranoblasticMan: tinfoil-hat maggie: Oh, and that song may be sorta NSFW but why the hell you playing music at work ?

To cover the sound of fapping, obviously.

You could make a sister group - 'Change4boobs.org'. A 503(c)(3) created to aid the poor in becoming well endowed

Funny you should say that, considering her mommy founded ZipCar and all.

(And just sold it to Avis for $500 million)

((No, mommy is not hot. Tall, though.))

KrispyKritter: many people hit the jackpot at birth. they did nothing to deserve or earn it but they were blessed with a dynamite singing voice, an incredible IQ, whatever. i think some attitudes go sour when they find themselves in the spotlight, huge money is being thrown at them, everyone wants to pay for your dinner and all the pretty ladies want to touch your no-no parts. it's got to be hard to stay grounded when all those around you are treating you like a God.

And if you don't capitalize on it, it's almost an insult to those of us who go through our whole lives waiting to die and reincarnate into privilege.

I thought it was a fairly decent article.  I have no plans to follow it up with a Google Image Search and some alone time.  None.

Being a breathing coat-hanger is a great job if you can get it, but media sure loves the darling tall/slender/white angle.
I think the main part of her article is you can't study hard, be dedicated, and with luck become a model. You're born into it or you aren't.

Not sure if all this media attention to this is her attempt to assuage guilt from all the money she's made, or if she's genuinely astonished with how easy her life has been.

Advice: Those of us down here in the mud don't like hearing the well-to-do complain about how clean their clothes are.

Mentat: Well, no they don't.  And neither do athletes or politicians or Wall Street CEO's.  But that's the world we live in.

I think the athlete comparison is fair, b/c the career shelf-life is about as short. Politicians and Wall Street CEOs can fark up the rest of the world for years and years.
