I'd buy it.

That was a great premise, but in true SNL fashion, it was underwhelming.

Ya know, if they can put together a 2 minute short they could make a 90 minute movie if they really wanted to.

I thought it was all concept, no payoff. But I did like the line 'It's a less violent Passion Of The Christ.'

Dear Jerk: I thought it was all concept, no payoff. But I did like the line 'It's a less violent Passion Of The Christ.'

I'm normally an SNL hater, but yeah I lol'd there.

As usual for SNL, someone else did it first.

/any time the opening monologue turns into "and now, I'll sing", you're in for an unfunny 90 minutes.

All concept and no payoff is pretty much the description of SNL.

/Also laughed at that line, though

You say that as if SNL hasn't done that at least a dozen times already.

That was the first thing I recalled

Tax Boy: As usual for SNL, someone else did it first.

And that was the second second thing I recalled.

The third was this . . .

I'm glad I wasn't the only one who thought of that.

Would've been funnier as a straightforward Django parody than a Tarantino reference checklist. But "less violent Passion of the Christ" was clever, and the delivery of "No more Mr. Nice Jesus" was funny.

/would watch any movie featuring Ving Rhames as Pontius Pilate

That is the funniest, wittiest bit of the whole thing.  loved it.

The worst thing about the SNL parody trailer for 'DJesus Uncrossed' is that the movie doesn't really exist SNL wasn't cancelled before movie-going public had Kristen Wiig, Jason Sudeikis, and Adam Samberg foisted upon them.

On the subject ... I kind of liked the "game show" sketch, "What Have You Become?" It was a nice touch of dark on a variety show that doesn't attempt that type of material as often as it should (IMO).

C'mon, writers, our lives are a morass of the tragicomic. Mine it!

For the life of me, I can't figure out why people are all acting like this was some genius sketch from SNL. It's not funny, it's not original, and they weren't even trying.

If "The H is silent" was truly the wittiest line in the entire piece (as mentioned above), then SNL is officially a terrible comedy show. These guys get paid more a week than I make in a year, but THIS is what they peddle as THE place to go for amusing social commentary, satire, and intelligent comedy?!

Ugh.
