But seriously

So let me get this straight.
Its OK for black people to paint their faces white.
But, it is totally raciast for a white person to paint their faces black.
Ok, got it. ;|waaah I'm not allowed to be racist

I don't get it
I didn't see where you were I was being racist
What are you crying about

That's because you're an idiot :)

Wow, that's not very nice.
Has anyone ever told you that you aren't very nice?
Cause I'm telling you now, that I don't think you are nice.
You already showed you were a racist because you were crying about not being allowed to be racist.
And now you come back, and out of the blue, say things that aren't nice about someone you don't even know.
In fact, I just plain think that you are a mean person. Because you seem to be both racist and insulting. So to me, that makes you a mean person.

Ethically, CAN one molest one's self? If so, wouldn't EVERY masturbator be a serial molester? By the time you touch yourself, the nerve impulses from your brain have triggered in the past, so you're ALWAYS touching the past you....

I never drank so I get to remember all of my experiences, including seeing Sisters of Mercy (ugh, Andrew changed) and Bauhaus (Awesome, though no Bella Lugosi's Dead! :( ) at the Nokia Theater in times square back in 2005. Still my favorite band seems to be The Lords of the New Church, especially because of Russian Roulette.

Sisters of Mercy were my favorite band for over a decade! I only saw them once and it was well after their prime, but it was still great. Eldritch was...not quite the angry anti-goth he can be. Never got to see Bauhaus, but I dug 'em. As far as goth went, that's all I cared for. Not that I own any clothes that AREN'T black anyway...

I guess I always enjoyed looking at and wearing Victorian clothing instead of the Lolita style (which the Japanese strangely attach the Goth logo too, but have seemingly little to none of the dark music, literature, or media that influenced the English/American Goth scenes which spread in similar manners to other places in Europe (including Russia) and the Middle East (there are lots of Goths in Israel!)).  But continue to post away Lolita pics for the Pedobear Fark crowd in here! :)

Since you're not too far from you may be interested. In good weather months there is a Saturday flea market in Woodstock NY, away from the touristy shops down towards where the locals go to supermarket (still a main road). In the past when I visited over the years there was always a fellow with a small camper who had the most incredible selection of used black clothing you could imagine. it was mostly cast-aways from NYC stage costumes, from theater shows. Things always varied and sometimes it was like visiting the closets of The Addams Family. I don't know if he still sells but it's worth checking if you are ever in the area.
also bring copies of live concerts; there was a fellow who had the most farking incredible selection of recorded live shows i've ever seen, and if you had something he didn't already own he would trade you no charge 1 for 1.
there also was a small toy store up in town. i'm into toys. excellent store, incredibly varied wonderful imported selection.

They have a semi-point in that people tend to think along the same lines over and over, like history repeating. I believe that was really the point.

Anyway, _I_ thread jacked this thing SO HARD that I replaced hot chicks with philosophy!

/So if anyone should appologize, it should be me!

It's alright I love some philosophy, but it is the talk on a cereal box, anyway I didn't see nothin' ; )

They were wrong though. Or, we would have variable dosage release nictone deployment devices for folks
who are sick of smoking. Yes, I know someone will make it and make a bunch of money, but maybe they will
be kind and buy my mortgage off and we will call it even.

Yeah, you missed that by about 7 years, and that show rocked out here at the Paladium
http://articles.latimes.com/1998/jul/08/entertainment/ca-1609

Luckily for me they only played one song from their new album in the 2005 reunion (which "Go Away White" sounds like Peter Murphy's solo act mixed with Love and Rockets, doesn't sound like their former selves at all, no wonder they broke up again after that! Couldn't agree on how to sound.) I would have loved to gone to that concert back then, but I only started out in the scene in late 1999 early 2000, but it didn't take me long before I got my first Bauhaus CD (glad I did research and didn't follow the Marilyn Manson/Mall Goth phase that my former friend did; now she's a hipster on a roller derby team!)

I might have. I dont remember. I have had friends tell me things we did and I just draw a blank.
I dont do hard drugs anymore, or try to drink my weight in drinks when i go out

I never drank so I get to remember all of my experiences, including seeing Sisters of Mercy (ugh, Andrew changed) and Bauhaus (Awesome, though no Bella Lugosi's Dead! :( ) at the Nokia Theater in times square back in 2005. Still my favorite band seems to be The Lords of the New Church, especially because of Russian Roulette.

Sorry. Nice pics, and good read, subby. Some Krews really make me want to deal with the hordes and actually go to Mardis Gras. This is one of them .

This is one of the reasons I don't visit New Orleans (other than the lack of funds).

/Unless Voltaire counts, which he kinda does in campy folky way.

Well, Voltaire "counts" but it seems like he's going for every scene that will pay him money to play (and not complain when he gets "too drunk to sing" on stage!), not just the Goth scene these days (I miss his days of Oh My Goth! and Deady comics and singing about killing The Man Upstairs). He runs around the various Steampunk and Comic Conventions that come along, hasn't done a Goth event in a while, though not that there are many left anyway (at least in the Tri-State area there aren't any active Goth meetups or conventions beyond clubs and none have hired Voltaire in a while I believe. I hear LA has alot more events, though someone has to fill me in on the attitude of the club goers & promoters [good or not good, I've heard rumors about "not good" and "uberGoth jerks"] if I ever get the money and the urging to go there).

As for Andrew, I can't see how you can be an anti-Goth when that's generally the only people who listened to and purchased his music! He calls himself "Not Goth" and denies he ever influenced the Goth scene, yet he made this music video! Sisters of Mercy - Body and Soul (as well as numerous other examples)

I don't know if he still sells but it's worth checking if you are ever in the area.
also bring copies of live concerts; there was a fellow who had the most farking incredible selection of recorded live shows i've ever seen, and if you had something he didn't already own he would trade you no charge 1 for 1.
there also was a small toy store up in town. i'm into toys. excellent store, incredibly varied wonderful import ...

Thanks for the tips, I'll have to try it. So far since there has been a lack of Goth stores around or excessively expensive ones (like Trash and Vaudeville in NYC - though that's because they took advantage that their across the street competition Religious Sex went out of business years ago [missed out on buying a really awesome purple & black revolutionary war velvet long coat there at RS]), I've been taking long range adventures with my car to places out in PA or historic NJ towns but finding nothing. (or worse, finding Hipstervilles!) I just one day hope to find that same amazing coat or one just like it.

I have fibromyalgia. A particularly stubborn case. And I have since I was 16. I was on fentanyl until recently, but it's 400$ a month w/o insurance, which I no longer have. So my dr gave me METHADONE, which was...strange, since I didn't know it was used that way. But my new dr hates methadone, so I've been on dilaudid for a few weeks.

I can't fault Voltaire, if I were him I'd go anywhere that paid. He's in a pretty niche market as is. Plus the guy is crazy talented. And funny. So he gets mad props from me; I can't say a bad word about him.

Andrew...is a complicated person. I guess he didn't like being buttonholed? It was some kind of backlash. Which is silly to turn on the people who MADE you, but Metallica certainly did, and made out like bandits to boot. I guess he can't accept his status as god father of goth. I mean, an argument COULD be made where a good deal of their music bears little in common with 'goth' music (not a lot if sax for example). But needless to say, more then enough of their stuff IS goth, they dressed and acted goth, as did all their fans.

/I wasn't going to admit it but my screen name I adapted from the one I came up with in college, originally it was 'SoMgoth'...

I believe the Nipponese refer to this as "Gothic Lolita" ... but I could be wrong (haven't been keeping up on my smut knowledge enough).
