I wonder how many of those he sold and how many kids got in trouble for using their parents credit card?

It certainly makes more sense than treating that dead sniper dude like a hero.

Well I know he killed some hot asian girl who had done nothing to him, so fark him, not a hero. He was a hero when he turned in another cop for brutality and got fired. Now he's just another murdering pig, not even cool enough to burn to death like Dave Koresh.

Goes a long way into figuring out what made him tick.  He did have a sense of honor, if warped.  He was a man who took issue with the system.

People claim terrorist, but that's not what he was.  Zealot, maybe, vigilante for sure, but not a terrorist.  Now, a martyr, what with the police civilian shootings and other questionable actions on their part, sure.  Not an ideal martyr, he had some vast flaws(like that he was psychotic , but a martyr still. (for the people that think LAPD still have serious issues and too little is being done about it)

Interesting side tidbit.  The surfer they rammed and shot at? The one who was(and I laughed at this too) "coming right at them"?  (from the pics cops t-boned him..) They offered a rental car and medical costs.  I had to chuckle at that, hope the department gets their asses sued off and those officers get fired.

Doktor_Zhivago: Amos Quito: Doktor_Zhivago: /Where's Wayne LaPenishead to blame Chocolate Rambo's rampage on this videogame instead of the actual piece of machinery that gave a man the capability to make all this to happen?

"machinery"? the LAPD?

[clarification needed]

Machinery: pieces of material, usually metal, that function together to make a machine. Possibly an assemblage of metal that takes a small self contained projectile and inserts it into a metal tube before activating an explosive charge inside that projectile. A small piece of said projectile is then expelled down the metal tube at high velocity. This metal tube may contain twisting grooves in order to facilitate the flight of said small piece of projectile. There is a smaller tube at the end of the larger tube that collects some remnants of the explosive gases produced by the detonation of the explosive charge. This gas drives a small piston inside the smaller tube. This piston provides leverage by which the remaining piece of the projectile is expelled from the larger tube and another self contained projectile is driven upward into the now empty larger tube in order to begin the process over it. Some of these machines are capable of doing this hundreds if not thousands of times per minute depending upon their design.

Did that explain it well enough?

No you don't.

Circumstantial evidence certainly points to that conclusion, but it remains unproven.

Indeed, the evidence is FAR stronger that the LAPD and SBSD conspired to willfully and premeditatedly murder Dorner.

Listen to the police recording that incriminates them, evidencing premeditation and conspiracy.

The fun starts at the 1:00 mark.

Any valid points he had went up in smoke the moment he started killing people. Furthermore, the police are justified in using lethal force against someone who is violent and refuses to back down, especially in the case that they've already killed people and are on the run.

Makes a weird kind of sense to me.

Short version: People hate the LAPD and saw Dorner as an antihero delivering overdue comeuppance.
A Robin hood like figure ready to take all of our grievances and stick it to the man,
What he actually believed (pro authority, pro government, pro gun control) and what he did (murder innocent people, hijacking, taking hostages) is overshadowed by the fact he was attacking a symbol of oppression.

Fact is that we created this breed of law enforcement. We voted for it, we funded it, we authorized it and we failed to put proper checks and balances in place to control it. This abuse machine keeps growing and hires thousands of people like Dorner to put a boot on the necks of otherwise good citizens, but we continually fail to kick the bastards out of Dodge or reign them in.

...So now people think we need someone to save us from our own monstrous pet.
Dorner fits the bill for some. A boogie man that makes cops run scared.
For others, he'll just be a justification for the cops needing grenade launchers and armed aircraft.

/The people of LA should deal with the LAPD themselves though legal channels. That department needs a complete teardown.
/But the public is too lazy to do it their own damn selves, so they cheer on someone they think is helping the cause.
/Of course that solved nothing. Dorner was out there for petty personal reasons and the cops were fine with blowing holes in innocent people to get at him.
/Now the only things left are dead bodies, damaged property, and a bunch of questionable decisions that won't be justified to anyone's satisfaction.

Interesting, the police did basically everything but hold a pep rally for guy.

The LAPD really did just go step by step unmaking this guy a quasi-martyr. And the media ate this shiat up as well. Fired for standing up for a victim, Veteran, and black.

Then the cops go out and shot some cars up.

Now, I see why LA wanted to hire Tuscaloosa's former sheriff. They are run by a bunch of morons.

I don't think we can just discard people the minute they lose their minds and start making bad decisions. A valid point remains a valid point because its valid, not because of the strength of the person spouting it.

Why do you hate Dorner?

thisisyourlaugh.files.wordpress.com

It's because he's black, isn't it?

Dark humor aside, I was satisfied with OJ being found not guilty in the murders of Brown and Goldman. Why? Because I felt that

1. The prosecution failed to make their case
2. The cops and prosecution AND the cops played DIRTY, mishandling evidence, etc.

The cops and prosecutors are SUPPOSED to represent and protect the interests of the People. When they fall into malfeasance  in their efforts to "win" a case, justice is not served, and THE PEOPLE - society as a whole, loses.

There are plenty of cases where the reverse happens, and the innocent are convicted thanks to corruption, malfeasance, or the suppression of evidence - yet the cops and prosecutors are rarely if ever held accountable for the misery and suffering they cause.

So yes, I'm in favor of the presumption of innocence and due process - AND I hold cops, prosecutors and judges to a higher standard than the "common rabble" whom they presume to judge.

It's interesting (to me, anyway) that we had a few reasonably good years of LAPD under Chief Williams and Chief Bratton, both of whom were hired from outside the department...and now that Chief Beck has taken over, we're starting to have problems again. Who is Chief Beck, you might ask? Well, Chief Beck was one of Darryl Gates' officers, ran the now-defunct and infamous CRASH squad, and is a lifetime LAPD member.

That doesn't make him per se a bad Chief...but it IS going to change the tenor of the way LAPD handles things, and I think we're seeing it in the way aspects of the Dorner incident were handled.

"an hero" is a meme. Years ago some 11 or so year old kid was listening to his iPod and didn't hear (nor apparently see) an incoming bus. He gets hit and killed and his friends set up a memorial Facebook page. /b/ quickly got wind of it and were shiatposting the Facebook page. One of his friends was angry and told everyone to lay off and that his friend was "an hero." This created even more laughs and the the trolling intensified.

It was quite hilarious.

I think this is wrong. The deal was that this kid Mitch Henderson lost his iPod and he was so upset that he killed himself. Afterwards his friends set up a memorial page and one of the posts on te page wrote a little poem and called Mitch "an hero" /b/ got wind of it and never stopped making fun of him and his friends. Mitch was the first winner of the golden iPod award for being an hero and ed got an ipod, coated it in gold and left it on his grave.

And here we see the intellectual and moral height of the 4chan crowd: ridiculing a dead 11-year-old and (as I recall) harassing his parents because another kid made a typo.

Way to understate reporter dude.

WHAT HAPPENED

Crazy: The LAPD are corrupt and very much a deplorable hive of scum and villainy. SO I'MMA KILL THEIR DAUGHTERS!
Public: Oh god, yet another lunatic.
LAPD: OMIGAWDOMIGAWDOMIGAWD! SHOOT EVERYONE! I DON'T WANNA DIE! *shoots old ladies*
Public: fark the LAPD.

At least, that's my process. Nothing Dorner said or did was commendable, but even an evil clock is right sometimes. Why are heads not rolling in the LAPD right now from whatever higher police authority we have for shooting up two innocent ladies while looking for a large man? Paid leave my ass. Unpaid leave plus charges and the officials who gave the ROE out on their brass asses as well.

All of America should be up in arms over the LAPD's hamfisted attempt to protect itself from ONE GUY at the expense of the safety of the entire city of LA. They were more of a danger to the public during the whole incident.

I'll be honest with you since you don't know me.

But I cheered a little. I like chaos. I didn't know those people he killed, so I wasn't emotionally effected. I think he had good reason to be pissed and he did what I believe alot of people would do if they were in his position and were honest about their true nature.

But I am but one man who would not allow himself to be put in the situation Dorner put himself in.

Dorner is no hero, but I will say this:

He COULD have murdered that couple who discovered him in the cabin - he didn't. He tied them up so loosely that they were able to immediately break free and call the cops.

He COULD have murdered the guy whose pickup he car-jacked - but he didn't - he patiently allowed the driver AND his dog to safely exit.

Dorner didn't shoot old women and couples in random pick-up trucks in a panty-wetting frenzy of chickenshiat fear

And if Dorner did commit premeditated murder - so did the cops when they intentionally roasted his ass.

Dorner is no hero, but he exposed the SoCal cops for being the hypocritical, corrupt, cowardly farks that they are.

And the basketball coach Monika Quan was a "legit" kill because of her dad right??

Are you implying that Randal Quan may have killed his own daughter and her fiance because he disapproved of their interracial relationship?

That's a new wrinkle.

Kevin72: I am not against this. People of 4Chan's age should be pissed off how society is rigged against them. Good on them for making their own games and giving the finger to whatever corporatacracy mediocracy makes the usual vidgames foisted upon them.

AHAHAHAHA, you think people on 4Chan do things based on principals...AHAHAHAHA.
