/Sounds like the employee might have made the whole thing up just for a shot at fondling Forest's junk.
//Is it twue what they say about Academy Award winning actors?

Were they frisking him or helpfully trying to establish if he was having a stroke?

2013-02-16 10:46:34 PM
It will be hard to imagine him in any tough guy acting roles now that he was punked by a salami grabber.

Maybe this employee was convinced that a formerly fat person must secretly desire to steal all the food. Ot maybe they just wanted to grab the fellow's junk.

I had this happen to me at a grocery store once.  I was wearing one of those satin baseball jackets, and someone thought I'd shoved something inside it.  Never mind the fact that I actually bought a whole boatload of items before leaving the store.

Guy stopped me at the door.  Rather than to be upset or anything, after learning from him what he thought he saw (me sticking something in my jacket), I simply took the jacket off, handed it to him, and invited him to look through it.  When he declined, I then INSISTED he do so.  Having gone there frequently back then, I wanted no doubt in anyone's minds.

Never had a problem after that.  I could've probably shoplifted like they did in "Animal House" after that, come to think of it.

Why did he allow this idiot to frisk him at all?  It doesn't matter what the employee thought.  Nothing (other than Forest's permission) authorizes him to frisk people.  If he thought he shoplifted, he should have called the cops.

Probably for this reason:

There are few feelings greater than letting assholes prove themselves wrong in a public setting.

You find him attractive? I think he's a very talented guy, but I've always thought he was fairly unattractive. Im a hetero guy, so maybe his handsomeness is in my blind spot.

Not even a little, I just thought it'd be funny. I think he's a great actor, but attractive he is not. I think even were I gay, I'd have to turn him down. But gently. Because he's awesome.

But you wouldn't want to be able to ask to your grand kids "Guess what Oscar winner _I_ got to feel up?"?

And the schadenfreude would have been epic if he had made him call the police.  Instead, he settled.

If the police had been called, we'd be reading about how Forest Whitaker was in jail for assaulting a police officer by slamming his face into the officer's fist.  Nobody ever wins when the police show up.

How true.

Had the same thing happen to me, but he refused to search the jacket.
He insisted on calling the cops, and when they got there, he searched the jacket.
And found nothing.
Nice and loud, I say "Gee, sounds to me like he is harassing customers and filing false police reports!"
And instead of apologizing, he tries to take a swing at me.
The two cops grab him, I grab my jacket, and like a fart in  the wind, I'm gone.
Never saw him there again.

I went to high school with Forest.  He's a very nice guy.  Very mellow.  Played football with him, as well.
