Classic rock is classic rock and I seem to connect with a lot of younger women who can quote Cheap Trick lyrics at me. My girlfriend has quoted Dream Police in emails and she's about half that age. I dunno what it is about the younger generation but they aren't all Bieber and Gaga fans like I assumed before I started dating again.

It's gotta be tough for the young kids. Most current music is shiat. The incredibly white, looks like a freakin' Mormon kid next door to me plays loud rap music. Apparently he doesn't listen to the lyrics that tell him that they would tear him apart with their bare hands if he wandered into their 'hood.

That's the nature of current music. Not enough time has passed to separate the wheat from the chaff. If there's more chaff now then there was in the past, that's only because the production and distribution of music has changed so much.

Meanwhile, meh, maybe it's my migraine but "Dream Police" isn't exactly blowing me away. It's more of a "Dream Weaver" sort of night...

The house is rockin' (with domestic problems).  Guess it's the way of the world.

/Seen them dozens of times.  Last time was at the local Native American gaming facility where they did the Dream Police album with a 13 piece orchestra plus Magic Christian on keys, and Rick's kids Miles on guitar and Daxx on drums.  Awesome show with the exception of the venue having tables that every sat at.  Seemed to suck some of the life out of the room.

Coming this March, all payouts to Social Security and Social Security Disability will be done electronically.   There will be no more checks.  If a participant does not have a bank account they will get a government debit card tied to a bank.  What is already in the works is that if there is any back child support owed by the recipient, even if their check is already being garnished, the local juristictions where they reside can and will empty out their accounts as soon as the money is delivered leaving them nothing.

What could possibly go wrong when that happens.

Funny thing is that the money will not go to the child, mother or father of the child at all.  It will be used by the local juristiction.  Sounds illegal doesn't it?  But it's not.  Lawyers for plaintiffs trying to obtain child support do this all the time and keep most or all of the money by charging outrageous administration fees.
