JakeStone: Prank Call of Cthulhu: Also a 10% surcharge for reading. What are you reading for?
Big Ramifications: spacemanjones: "I was in Nashville, Tennessee last year. After the show I went to a Waffle House. I'm not proud of it, I was hungry. And I'm alone, I'm eating and I'm reading a book, right? Waitress walks over to me: 'Hey, whatcha readin' for?' Isn't that the weirdest farkin' question you've ever heard? Not what am I reading, but what am I reading FOR? Well, goddamnit, ya stumped me! Why do I read? Well . . . hmmm...I dunno...I guess I read for a lot of reasons and the main one is so I don't end up being a farkin' waffle waitress."~You said "you stumped me" and then immediately answer her question.FAIlwow. You are impressively stupid.
NASAM: alienated: We dont have this chain in my neck of the woods ( los angeles area ) . I remember driving from el paso back home in 03 and seeing a few but was in a rush to get home and never stopped. Are they any good ?No. It's vile. The pancakes amd waffles are tasteless, the bacon rubbery, and the scrambled eggs taste like powdered eggs.Every single one of them is filthy. Without exception.Keep driving until you find an IHOP.
steamingpile: Yes, well one of them is, I could have taken a pic Friday if i knew fark would finally green light one of these. That whole area looks like a flea market, they try to clean it up but its useless until they put patrols down there on every block. It was sad seeing a cheer competition in town and seeing the little girls and mothers get harassed, I went over and pulled a group away from some locals who were hitting on the girls aggressively (keep in mind the girls were kids and the guys were late 20s) by saying "we've been looking everywhere for you!" Got them inside the building between peachtree and forsyth street and told them to stay up near the hard rock/international mall area and above, the ladies thanked me, one gave me a hug, while the other comforted the little girl who was crying. They even tried to give me money which I told them to put away and quick step it back north. And people wonder why businesses don't want to be in downtown, its because people aren't safe, hell I felt safer in NY than I do in Atlanta.
LesserEvil: Mister Buttons: Wouldn't hiring a bouncer or two be a much cheaper/practical decision? Plus you wouldn't scare away the drunks, which probably probably accounts for 80% of their revenue from 2-6 AM.I don't think that is practical where this Waffle House is located.[img2u.info image 630x354]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DB6yoAVjbqUhttp://www.youtube.com/watch?v=t8C9kD7YSsk
