Hmm... my girlfriend (a former Islington resident no less - lived two blocks from the Emirates) embraced her inner lush a little bit too much last night, which means not going out to watch the match with the DC Armoury club today. I need to teach her to hair of the dog better.

Anyway.... COYG!!!

I didn't realize you were in DC, we could have met up at some point. Always nice to know other DC people (TKU is in DC). I'm out in Illinois in grad school now and when I'm home I'm at Court House watching the match with my former co-worker and Spurs supporter. Always fun to watch the game people though. Where do you guys usually watch matches?

Gervinho is spoiling a lot of chances.

Yes definitely! I'm also always looking for people to watch the games with. I'm in Dupont Circle so my place of choice is Lucky Bar on Connecticut Ave... they also have the biggest Arsenal supporters group in the DC area if you can stomach that. Shoot me an email  - EIP :)

And again. *sigh*

He's too inconsistent. There are few forwards in the Premier League that would have missed those.

I have a feeling that there might be a nut punch occurring in Arsenal's locker room during the half.

I'll give you a holler next time I'm in town. I'm very familiar with Lucky Bar, used to go there for champs league games and have gone with an Arsenal supporter before during the weekend so I know how many of you there are!

Oh yeah, however I used to live in New York where the supporters club puts the DC one to shame. The one here is great, but it has a lot of unrealized potential. Not enough song singing, screaming, or interaction in general. We tend to dominate that bar, but seldom own it!

Arsenal have gone predictably stale. Time to bring on someone from the bench.

2013-02-16 11:25:02 AM
When I watch games like this, it makes me wonder if Arsenal can even make the top four.

For today's match we've replaced Arsenal with Liverpool..let's see if anyone notices.

When you're hanging by a thread and then you see Cazorla, Wilshere, and Walcott trot on the pitch with fresh legs... you might poop a little.

All it took was for Blackburn to hold on as much as possible, and then wait for that Arsenal defense to completely fark it up for themselves.

What's funny is I posted that before the cheap goal aft Arsenal had owned the ball for the entire game.

I needed a lift after spending over an hour trying to replace the back brake pads only to discover the stupid company sent me the wrong ones. Watching Arsenal spend yet another year without a trophy is funny. Can't wait to listen to the Radio 5Live call in show. I can only hope Robbie Savage is on the show to stir the pot a bit.

You don't know that. We're still in the Champions Lea-oh fark my life I'm an Arsenal fan...

You know what? Good. I hope Arsenal lose today and then get crushed by Bayern Munich next week.

It's not because I like watching them lose, but it's because Arsene needs to shake things up. This team isn't good enough to win the Premiership, Champions League, or even the FA Cup. They're a collection of players with talent that can't make things work, even against lower-league teams. I appreciate that Arsene has loyalty to young players, but the truth is that this team isn't good enough to compete.

Something has to change.

WOooooooooooooooooo. Bye bye arsenal!
