Krispy Kreme caused quite the stir in the north, too, until people realized Dunkin is superior. Stay where people like you, KK. You're not meant for everyone.

This is mimicking the KK experience in Oregon; big opening, long lines of cars. In 6 months, people will wonder what all of the hype was about.

/ the plain, glazed ones are good when they're still hot
// other than that, meh.

Donut Connection for the win. It's mostly an East Coat thing, though like most franchises, it's up to the owner-operator on how good the donuts turn out.
Fairmont WV Donut Connection, worth the stop.

Been glazed and confused for so long, it's not true.
Wanted a donut, never bargained for you.
Take it easy long john, let them say what they will.
Will your filling squirt so much when I send you the bill?

The best doughnuts in Edinburgh are the ones with chocolate icing from Valvona & Crolla that you can get at the farmer's market on Saturday.

KK donuts are teh suck.

Not eating a donut at all > eating a Krispy Kreme donut

First KK that opened up in CA got replaced with a chick-fil-a.

You're partially right. Not eating a freshly made KK donut is better than not eating a donut at all, but if you get them as they're coming out of the cooker? AMBROSIA.

The problem is that KK doughnuts aren't really doughnuts - eating a KK confection is like eating a sugared cloud. The texture's entirely different than any other doughnut out there.

If they were called anything but a doughnut, there wouldn't  be a problem and they'd still probably be in MA.

/DD is superior, at least the MA bakeries hit it right.
//Not to mention DD coffee.

The first KK is less than a mile from my front door.... and their HQ is even closer....

The biggest reason they lost badly to DD in New England is that KK's coffee SUCKS.

Yeah!  The Krispy Kreme Klub!  We could call it 'the KKK' for short.
