Someone is defiantly trolling for something.

even bumpkins like hot women having sex with each other. I'd think an ultraconservative farktard went with the two hot young guys in leather fantasystereotype instead.

This is just a very weird thing to do.

Rock Hudson & Jim Nabors approve of this prank.

I'd say the odds are pretty good. They put some effort to Photoshop two girls from entirely different areas together. Ultraconservatives aren't known for their ability to do anything with a computer but mash out a frothy comment or two. My interwebs intuition is telling me that this is the work of a pervert. Next up: This guy will try to see if he can announce a lifelong marriage between a picture of his penis and the eyes of surprised women.

High school or more likely college prank.

There was a story last July about a pair of male friends who's picture was put into the local paper as part of a fake gay wedding announcement apparently by a friend of the two for a laugh.

The reaction of the local Pride community summed it up for me.

"I think it's stupid. I think it's childish. I think it's lame,"

That picture is legit.
I can tell by the pixels.

I doubt it!  Rather, some liberal was trolling for a paper who would refuse to print it so they could yell to the world "look, look at the DISCRIMINATORS!  There's hatred all over!"

Yes, discriminating against a nonexistent entity.  Rather childish, really.

Just wait until they start sending out fake multiracial wedding announcements.

As opposed to the trolling homophobes do ?

This is classic trolling (like pocketninja style, awesomely entertaining)
as opposed to asinine (like letrole does)

If I met one, Id buy them a beer
If I met the other Id feel justified in ignoring the flames on his shirt and pissing on a neighbouring tree instead.

/ decide for yourself which is which

you find a fake wedding announcement "awesomely entertaining"? There's no subtle humor, no satire, no punchline. The entire thing is chuckle free. There isn't even backwards redneck rage to laugh at.

This isn't "classic trolling". This is your weird uncle who started mumbling about something while getting a beer out of the fridge.

2013-02-16 06:05:11 AM
If you're going to do this right you get a photo of a hot white dude embracing a hot black dude in front of a Gadsden flag while wearing Confederate flag t-shirts and camo pants and have the engagement announcement refer to their military service, their NRA memberships, their time playing football for SEC schools, their "lover's quarrel" over Dale Jr. vs. Dale Sr. and how the day they met Sean Hannity was also the day they fell in love.

2013-02-16 06:11:25 AM
Why would you need to photoshop a pic?  How hard is it to find a photo pf two attractive girls standing next to each other?  30 seconds on Facebook and you'll have dozens of them

I gotta agree. This is just plain dumb.

Some of those guys do get the weirdest hangups. But no, this seems to be someone trying to get the conversation going. Why else be so deliberately sloppy?

Its not stupid trolling. They could have done a better job, but it points out how much people dont mind their own business when it comes to the ghey. Including the reporter who wrote the story. Would anyone even notice had it been a fake normal hetero couple? No. And it surely wouldnt have been made into a news article. And it SURELY wouldnt have made it on Fark.

If there was a proclivity for small town citizens to go apeshiat over heterosexual marriages, and people sent them fake announcements to get them riled up, it would likely end up on fark just the same. Don't you think?

Someone stole pics of normal people to push their ghey agenda.  They're getting more desperate.

At least the photos mismatched the persons named. It's somewhat unlikely that distant relatives or acquaintances would buy it.

2013-02-16 08:36:42 AM
Newspapers could prevent this by charging $0.10 for the announcements, payable in person with ID or by personal check only.

My guess: It has nothing to do with gay or not-gay.  It's someone who wants to cash in by finding which papers won't publish the announcements, waiting a few weeks, attempting to post a "more real" one (i.e. with actual people to back it up) and get the papers to cough up some dough by threatening exposure and a lawsuit.

Which, if it's not just someone goofing on the papers, might be an easy and clever (albeit asinine) way to make a few bucks on the side.  If I weren't so damn lazy, I'd hit up one my dude friends and start trolling papers.  Well, that and I'm straight and married (to a woman) so it might not go over well in court.

I'm glad this douche in le mars is making us sound like hicks. Le mars is about 20 minutes from me, and there is a pretty strong gay community here. Most of the local populace arent't blatant bigots but I am glad this bag of cocks feels the need to make the rest of us look bad.
