oh_please: The Jerk is my favorite stupid comedy of all time.

"I was born a poor black child..."

"You mean I'm always gonna stay this color?"

"Somebody hates these cans!"

"...and that's all I need!"

It is a thing of beauty for sure

Well this simply proves he truly has a sick sense of humor.

Rats. I was thinking "Married ... with Children," TV not movies. But I could picture Stanley Kubrick being a fan of Al Bundy. And is there a straight male between the ages of 8 and 80 who didn't want to bone Christina Applegate in her prime ... or even now for that matter?

Pangea SwiftFox: Who cares? Kubrick's responsible for Barry Lyndon, the more-than-three hours of most boring, excruciating time wastage of my entire life.  Theater opening night, more than half the audience left at the mid-movie intermission. I wish the party I was with had.

Thank you! I gave that movie a chance because Kubrick's name was on it, but assumed I found it to be unwatchable because of my own defect.

I may be defective, but that movie was still crap.

Re
ally?!  I love that film. Beautiful costumes.  Great cinematography (well, it's Kubrick) and an interesting story.  It captured what I thought the 18th century in terms of culture, society, mannerisms are like - or atleast what I imagine it to be like. It's a long flick, but I really didn't notice the length.  I've watched it a few times.

kvinesknows: chitownmike: thepeterd: I was thinking Wired Science, especially as I didn't realise White Men Can't Jump is a comedy.

you are either retarded or trolling
/not sure if retard

no seriously I never realized it was a comedy either.

I don't remember if it was a comedy or not.  The only thing I remember from it is what's-her-face's big hooters.

I would have put $500 on Lebowski.

No, see, the Adderall is for Barry Lyndon, and the LSD is for 2001.  You just got the drugs backwards, that's all.

Really?!  I love that film. My problem is waiting through three hours of wonderful cinematography through the end of the film for the film to begin.  Tom Jones had beautiful cinematography too.  A poor color process, but beautiful cinematography.
