Real pro tip: If you get caught robbing the police chief's house, you are not a pro.

My dad told me, he once pulled this off with the chief home. It was back in the early 1960's in the middle of the night, and when the chief gave chase my dad scrambled under the patrol car and the cop followed. My dad wasn't alone and as soon as he was clear, his cohorts slashed the tires pinning the chief under the patrol car. They kept their faces out of view of the chief, which is why they never got caught, but did hose him down with water on a very cold night.

When asked why he did it, my dad replied the cop was a prick, always targeting kids for traffic stops.
